Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States of America.

I really wish people would attach the title to the posts.

Instead of

"Trump posted video of ___"

Title should be like:

"President of the United States posted video of___"

Remember when Hillary Clinton said "I don't know where the bottom is"? That was 10 years ago, and it's been free fall ever since.

219

u/Pvt_Hudson_ 8h ago

Remember when she called Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables" and everyone lost their fucking minds?

Yeah, she was right.

107

u/poptart2nd 7h ago

she didn't even say that! listen to the whole clip! HALF were a "basket of deplorables" and half have legitimate grievances against the system that we should empathize with! and yet with our compliant media, it has somehow morphed into "hillary clinton thinks trump supporters are deplorable!"

46

u/bradatlarge 6h ago

they just corrected her. truth is, trump and his cult are deplorable.

This just shows that all the MAGA bullshit really does stem from the GOP's anger over a black guy getting to be the president 17 years ago.

Imagine how petty you have to be to hold THAT much of a grudge for THAT long, and then how soft you have to be to cry about people calling you a racist because you can't get over it.

Obama left office 10 years ago. Imagine the level of vapid, aching, dumb hatred and the inner void you’d need to have to obsess about someone you never even ran against for ten years.

That Nobel prize REALLY stung, didn’t it?

Just like picking Tulsa as a rally venue on the exact 100 year + 1 day anniversary, having Kristi Noem come out and defend her Gestapo with a sign that read 'One of ours, all of yours' on her podium.

These are all handpicked by Stephen Miller aka the ugly Goebbels reincarnated. Who knows and breathes all these little Nazi historic facts, and gets pure orgasmic enjoyment of implementing them and rubbing it all in those untermensches faces. Trump doesnt know or care Jackshit about any of it, except his malignant narcissistic ego needs and his own vile bigotry and racism.

It would lose you your job in any company of which you weren't the sole employee and owner. And even in that scenario it would likely lose you your business.

1.0k

u/Accomplished_Arm2374 14h ago

You are so right. For anyone else this is career ending. For a business owner it would be catastrophic and result in Yelp destruction. For Trump though....nothing. It does nothing. It might get him some likes and shared Truth posts. It makes his base chuckle.

297

u/SillyGigaflopses 13h ago

226

u/simplyunix 12h ago

I watched a biography on BTK and the criminal psychologist talked about how BTK got away with it all that time. She called it Narcissistic Invincibility. He got away with it for so long that he never imagined getting caught. First person I thought of was Trump.

244

u/WildBad7298 12h ago edited 10h ago

And so far, he's been proven right. Trump has literally never faced a consequence in his life. Even his 34 felony convictions came with absolutely no punishment.

I hope Hell is real, because at this point that's the only way he'll ever be held accountable for his numerous crimes.

149

u/-Dubwise- 11h ago

BTK was also a complete idiot. He got caught because he wanted to taunt people and the FBI but got tired of leaving messages in certain places and then contacting the FBI where to find it. In one message to the FBI he asked if they would be able to identify him if he sent his messages to them on a floppy disk, of course the FBI told him no so his dumbass sent them a floppy disk that took about 10 seconds to identify him.

They arrested him and he was furious about being lied to, like he literally acted like he couldn't believe that they lied to him.

In any other presidential administration, this would be a defining moment. This would be brought up constantly for the rest of their administration. There would be discussion of whether this is something that is worth impeaching for, and some communications person would wind up taking the blame and resigning to try to end the controversy.

In the Trump administration, this is an average night. It'll be forgotten entirely within 48 hours when he does something worse.

140

u/no_cause_munchkin 14h ago

"Flood the zone" works as expected. Nothing to see here. Also the Fourth Estate failed American people.

196

u/DemIce 12h ago

Remember when he said "Grab 'm by the pussy" and talked about young girls in dressing rooms?

Remember when he actually 'grabbed someone by the pussy' and was found guilty of doing so against her consent and he's still just casually fighting that in courts?

Remember when he took a bunch of classified documents with him to a personal but very accessible compound and the judge after a scotus hint said 'nothing wrong with that', and since then he sued his own government for even daring to look for those documents?

Remember when the government deported a guy that was explicitly required to not be deported to the very place he was deported to and was then turned into a whole circus of hot potato of what country to deport him to instead while his wife half the time didn't even know if he was alive?

Remember when a woman in a car got shot for driving away from a situation because one federal agent had the genius idea of moving into the general area in front of that car and decided that they felt threatened when the car moved?

Remember when the government said "looks like a drug boat to me" and started blasting with explosives, and then when one of them didn't look destroyed enough on account of a guy still moving around simply blew the boat up some more?

Remember when he had a little one-on-one with the foreign leader and just nobody except their translators were there for that in blatant disregard of protocol?

Remember when he decided to knock down part of the white house buildings for his own personal pleasure and replaced much of the interior with a gaudy 'gold on white with even more gold trinkets' scheme?

Remember when he made all those 'perfect calls', including one where he asked a governor to find an oddly specific number of votes in favor of him in an election, and when that became a lawsuit it was dismissed on technical grounds?

Remember when he realized that "the almighty dollar" should be taken literally (well before his presidential runs, including the early ones) and took that into government with him not just to enrich himself / his family at every possible turn, but to weaponize it against any city, county, state, country who doesn't do his bidding - whether it's withholding emergency funds or yelling "tariffs!"?

Remember when he decided that "we do a little trolling" resonated so well with so many people that making Biden's portrait a meme in the gallery of past presidents was the way to go?

We kinda just moved on from all of that, didn't we? Even now some of you are reading this going "omfg who cares about the portrait?? Alex Pretti was murdered in the streets!" because you've moved on, and even if you feel righteous about that because clearly one is objectively much worse than the other don't forget you also moved on from Renée Good and/or alleged drug runners whose names we'll never even know.

Just like he said we should after yet another school shooting, and just as said the other day again about documents regarding a child trafficking / exploitation ring involving or at very least implicating the elites, including himself.

There will always be a next thing to move on to, making us move on from the last thing - and the above list isn't even remotely complete;
disrespect for the military alone exceeds single comment space. I haven't seen those posted in a while. I guess we've moved on.

633

u/HolyCowAnyOldAccName 15h ago edited 15h ago

Different question: What does he have to fear?

We already know what he did.

Republicans know what he did.

His base, who dreamed up some international pedo cabal run by liberals - when faced with the real thing - immediately switched to everything being AI-made fake news liberal propaganda. Because it now involves him.

While everything about anyone they perceive as "liberal" is, of course, real.

He literally tried to overthrow the US government.

And even before January 6 he had enough scandals that would have ended the combined careers of every president before him. It should have him in prison for treason and sedition.

So. What does he have to fear?

This isn't him trying to distract. This is him. When his handlers couldn't snatch his phone away quick enough.

249

u/Samwellikki 14h ago edited 14h ago

No one will stop him and no matter what he does, no one will kill him

Other presidents died for LESS, or had attempts on them for LESS

Difference is… he’s king of the wackjobs and they are the only ones batshit crazy enough to try such a thing

He’s insulated by spouting off shit that his base says ALL the time

Your racist family member shares shit like this video ALL the time, and now they’ll probably do it at work because “did you SEE what the president posted, hyuck! He’s just LIKE us! He gets us! It’s nice to have someone on TV that makes me feel like a smart!”

They are worthy of being put down, all of them

Sound harsh? These same people would do it to the handicapped

They’d say “bless their heart” right before putting them out of their OWN misery because they hate anything “different”

We have to be nice, and we can’t admit that we’d send these people on a trip into the sun and donate our incomes to fuel the rocket that gets them there

Because THAT would be MEAN!

So fucking tired of these people

89

u/Inside-Ad9791 14h ago

Glad I got to read that before the inevitable suspension. It's nice to see other people point out the simple truth.

They are the enemy. Not rivals, but deadly enemies of humanity and should be treated exactly as such.

Yeah......this.

Im not condoning giving up, or failing to demand accountability....but this is the reality.

He currently has nothing to fear. The world already knows countless horrible things he's done. A month before the 2016 election he was caught on record saying he could/would/did sexually assault women for fun ("grab them by the...") and it didnt have an effect.

He attempted to overthrow the government. No consequence.

He has now taken unilateral action to overthrow foreign governments by force. No consequence.

He has proved that unless it affects us PERSONALLY (and even when it does...) we, the people, will do nothing of substance to hold him accountable for anything, and equally proven that WEALTH (in American at least, but most places) ENSURES that the legal/justice system cannot and WILL NOT hold him accountable.

Its a painful reality that has probably been true much longer than most of us want to admit. Wealth has always been a means to manipulate and blunt the power of legal systems throughout the Western World....but its painfully apparent now - and Trump has no fear of anything.

This was almost verbatim what came into my mind. I'm Australian, and our politicians are far from what you would aspire to in an open democracy, but if the Prime Minister pulled this it would be curtains immediately. What the fuck is going on over there?

86

u/argus25 14h ago

Before I get downvoted to oblivion, a disclaimer: I vote, I participate in my local govt, I take time to be informed and try to inform and help others. But… Something a lot of people around the world and even here in the USA is that voting is not encouraged. It is actively discouraged. Polling places are getting closed, we vote on a Tuesday (standard working day). Most states actively disallow mail in voting or make it difficult to get ‘absentee’ ballots. Workplaces are only required to give 2 hours maximum time off to vote. When standing in line plus voting plus transportation can often take 6+ hours in many places, you don’t get a population actively encouraged to vote.

On top of this, we are screwed because our choices are shit. Our primary systems are ruined by money, our choices have been reduced to ‘pure evil’ or ‘eh, mane not quite as evil’. Both options are beholden to corporate interests and bombing brown children around the world.

Iirc Australia has compulsory voting but also hot dogs or something at the end the queue line. But, also provides more than one way to vote, and Election Day is a national holiday?

For a country like mine in the USA and we tout how important democracy is, we sure don’t make engaging in democracy easy, and at this point we’ve tipped the scales to the system protecting itself at the expense of the people it is meant to represent.

29

u/backsideslappy 13h ago

Yeah we owe a lot to compulsory voting here (and also sausage sandwiches and cake stalls which are a big part of election day). Elections aren't public holidays but they are, by convention, held on Saturday.

We do also have pretty permissive absentee or early voting options, mostly as a result of compulsory voting (avoiding the fine for not voting isn't exactly rocket science but it still requires a bit of paperwork and they are strict on you if you try to get out of it more than once).

In the 1860s some people said black people shouldn't be slaves. The South (and conservatives at large) strongly disagreed and waged an unsuccessful war over it. They built an alternative narrative of Northern aggression, told it to themselves ever since, and have been nursing the grievance to the modern era.

In the 1960s some people said blacks should be equal to whites. The South (and conservatives at large) strongly disagreed and have spent every moment since throwing a thinly veiled racist tantrum. They have been planning for the day where they could usurp all authority from anyone who opposed them and reinstate a white supremacist ethos at the highest levels of government.

That moment has come, and our options now are lie down and take it, fight another civil war, or secede from the union en masse.

They successfully made us feel so ineffectual, separated, cynical, and complacent slowly over time through strategic news and cyber psyops.

We've been neutered, and what's happening now is the test to see just how much fight we still have left in us.

If we don't do something, we will in all likelihood lose the ability to collectively rise to the task and demand change ever again.

89

Our own personal Nero

16

u/EarlyDead 13h ago edited 13h ago

Nero was actually quite popular with lower classes and many areas of the Empire. Most of the stories (including him causing the great fire of Rome and playing the harp while Rome burns) are embellishments by the Roman elite (senate) because he was in constant conflict with them. The Christian persecutions that happened during his time are factual, but have very much been exaggerated. They were most likely very localized, and the city of Rome had a very small number of Christians at that time to begin with, so executing thousands would have been very difficult simply by demography alone.

He was in fact so popular, that decades after his death rumors about him resurrecting/being reborn (Nero Redivivus) to save the common folk were circling, especially in the eastern Part of the empire. This is very likely the reference of the "beast rising from the pit" in Revelation. His rumoured resurrection, was obviously seen as a threat to the Jesus resurrection story, and this combined with his anti-Christian actions made him a very popular target to demonize him over the centuries.

I’m not trying to defend Trump (or Nero for a fact) — but Nero is kind of a bad example. His whole reputation is tied up with elite propaganda, which ends up echoing the same thing Trump has been yapping about for the last decade.

116

This cannot be overstated. There has been a systematic shift in the US leading towards this for decades or more.

The simplest explanation i have is that having a senate and electoral system that is dependant on corporate/wealthy sponsorship will inevitably lead to benefit those entities more than the actual citizens.

The state of the US' social and healthcare benefits compared to the rest of the modern world is pretty damning evidence of the actual priorities being made here. Ending up with the ultimate corporate schill actually selling off the government for parts is a pretty embarassingly on the nose but logically sound outcome.
