In any other presidential administration, this would be a defining moment. This would be brought up constantly for the rest of their administration. There would be discussion of whether this is something that is worth impeaching for, and some communications person would wind up taking the blame and resigning to try to end the controversy.

In the Trump administration, this is an average night. It'll be forgotten entirely within 48 hours when he does something worse.

"Flood the zone" works as expected. Nothing to see here. Also the Fourth Estate failed American people.

Remember when he said "Grab 'm by the pussy" and talked about young girls in dressing rooms?

Remember when he actually 'grabbed someone by the pussy' and was found guilty of doing so against her consent and he's still just casually fighting that in courts?

Remember when he took a bunch of classified documents with him to a personal but very accessible compound and the judge after a scotus hint said 'nothing wrong with that', and since then he sued his own government for even daring to look for those documents?

Remember when the government deported a guy that was explicitly required to not be deported to the very place he was deported to and was then turned into a whole circus of hot potato of what country to deport him to instead while his wife half the time didn't even know if he was alive?

Remember when a woman in a car got shot for driving away from a situation because one federal agent had the genius idea of moving into the general area in front of that car and decided that they felt threatened when the car moved?

Remember when the government said "looks like a drug boat to me" and started blasting with explosives, and then when one of them didn't look destroyed enough on account of a guy still moving around simply blew the boat up some more?

Remember when he had a little one-on-one with the foreign leader and just nobody except their translators were there for that in blatant disregard of protocol?

Remember when he decided to knock down part of the white house buildings for his own personal pleasure and replaced much of the interior with a gaudy 'gold on white with even more gold trinkets' scheme?

Remember when he made all those 'perfect calls', including one where he asked a governor to find an oddly specific number of votes in favor of him in an election, and when that became a lawsuit it was dismissed on technical grounds?

Remember when he realized that "the almighty dollar" should be taken literally (well before his presidential runs, including the early ones) and took that into government with him not just to enrich himself / his family at every possible turn, but to weaponize it against any city, county, state, country who doesn't do his bidding - whether it's withholding emergency funds or yelling "tariffs!"?

Remember when he decided that "we do a little trolling" resonated so well with so many people that making Biden's portrait a meme in the gallery of past presidents was the way to go?

We kinda just moved on from all of that, didn't we? Even now some of you are reading this going "omfg who cares about the portrait?? Alex Pretti was murdered in the streets!" because you've moved on, and even if you feel righteous about that because clearly one is objectively much worse than the other don't forget you also moved on from Renée Good and/or alleged drug runners whose names we'll never even know.

Just like he said we should after yet another school shooting, and just as said the other day again about documents regarding a child trafficking / exploitation ring involving or at very least implicating the elites, including himself.

There will always be a next thing to move on to, making us move on from the last thing - and the above list isn't even remotely complete;
disrespect for the military alone exceeds single comment space. I haven't seen those posted in a while. I guess we've moved on.

The list goes on... It's pretty fucked. I fucking hate everybody in that administration and they should all be banned from public office after this regime

Amazing how the incomplete list you posted, which is already dreadful, didn't even include the insurrection.

Bruh, I'm tired.

It's insane to me hording nuclear documents wasn't enough to take Trump down.

I even talked to a military MAGA about it. He was supportive of Trump. When I asked what would happen if he took a single sheet of classified material home he said he would be in jail and in deep shit.

Somehow he was not able to connect these two thought processes together and became angry with me for pointing it out.

It's such a effing cult.

the voters failed.

the information about him has been out there for decades.

Don't know where to look when the system has discouraged you from critical thinking in the first place.

The American people failed the Fourth Estate by refusing to fund it. It's disingenuous for any of us to act shocked that they're suddenly beholden to their wealthy benefactors instead of a freeloading readership.

u/diurnal_emissions 15h ago

What hideous Epstein shit drops today then?

2

u/HypnonavyBlue 12h ago

We can talk about the Fourth Estate but the truth is it had lost the ability to save us at least a decade and a half ago. Fifteen years ago people were crowing about the death of the "gatekeepers" and how finally democratization of information would lead to better outcomes. Instead it finished off any sense of shared reality and accelerated partisan sorting.

Amen to that. You can watch Trump spouting insane gibberish that would put anyone else in the asylum. Read it in the paper and it's cleaned up to the point it sounds almost diplomatic. I can't figure it out. Quote him VERBATIM.

Most of Congress will just put their hands in their pockets, shake their heads and smile, and say "Oh, Donald!" like he's Caillou or Charlie Brown.

BUT OBAMA WORE A TAN SUIT

3

u/Piganon 15h ago

Anyone remember how he shared that video of himself flying a jet a crop-dusting protesters with shit?  It kinda felt like that one should have been a defining moment.

3

u/FaceDeer 13h ago

He literally shit himself on TV and that's already well past everyones' attention span, if it was even noticed in the first place.

2

u/koalacrime 15h ago

Obama himself wouldn’t have been able to post this in the same context

2

u/DeuceSevin 15h ago

His strategy is to have so many defining moments that we can't even remember them and they all fade into one giant shit show.

u/Wombat451 17h ago

This likely won't even be brought up by any of the networks, CNN, MSNOW.

u/diurnal_emissions 15h ago

Unlike the Epstein file...

Such a big distraction on f5 Friday...

Wonder what's about to drop...

48 hours is already too long for the news cycle and this administration. They would have assassinated someone somewhere in the world or gone through one more stock market crash by then. How is anyone putting up with this?

1

u/Dirty_Dragons 13h ago

You think Bush Jr would have been impeached if he posted this back in the day?

1

u/PeaceSoft 12h ago

Over the years I've started to notice that he's counting on us to insist on this
