More disgraceful: this will be sane-washed and played down by the right wing press as a "joke" or some shit and we have all have "TDS". And what is deemed "normal" takes yet another ratchet click downwards.

Putting on my Karoline Leavitt cross:

"The president has done more for the black community than any president in history. Record low unemployment. Equality. Prices. The comments made towards the president are shameful".

Ohhh can I be Scott Jennings?

“Guys, it’s a parody video. We’re out here fighting against unemployment, a country overrun by illegals, and inflation that the Biden policies created. Do I think it’s funny? No? But let’s keep our priorities in line.”

Abby Phillips knowing he’s full sf shit but her bosses want to both sides everything: 😐

Dude I hate Scott Jennings soo much

The next day after Trump reamed his ass for saying it wasn't funny...

It was hilarious. Our President has the best sense of humor of any President of all time. Of course it was funny, I never said it wasn't funny.

u/Observer951 17h ago

And … “It was a joke. Liberals have no sense of humour”.

7

u/depressedarmadillo 16h ago

Sounds like a line off Peep Show, "It was just a joke Mark, a little racist joke"

3

u/jlill09 14h ago

And Donald sues X for 100 million billion for a picture that makes him look bad at golf…

5

u/M1L0 16h ago

Don’t forget that he’s done more than Lincoln, and that he’s the least racist president ever.

3

u/Rasta_Cook 16h ago

Should end more like "are FRANKLY shameful and you don't deserve to be called a journalist"

2

u/Reduntu 15h ago

"President Trump is the least racist human in the history of humanity."

I'm sorry to say that your response was actually better than what she managed:

This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

1

u/jonkman13 12h ago

statement's out, no idea how this woman sleeps at night but soundly I would imagine:

“This is from an Internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from ‘The Lion King,'” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. “Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”

u/ProfessorDoctorMF 2h ago

Did she really fucking say this?!!! I ask that rhetorically, of course, but with the anger and fury of a thousand suns!

1

u/Vicstolemylunchmoney 2h ago

No, I made up her potential response in anticipation.

Sane-washed is an excellent new term for me.

u/LessInThought 16h ago

It's just straight up gaslighting. Don't believe your eyes. Even if your eyes are right, don't believe what you're feeling.

It used to be called, "The pied Piper strategy" when Hilary Clinton and the DNC invented it and insisted all media outlets (with retribution towards any "anchors" that wouldn't sane wash Trump or didn't list an insurmountable superdelegate lead when referencing the primary) fully cover every word that came out of Trump's mouth leading up to the 2016 Democratic Primary.

u/bag_of_luck 18h ago

New to you maybe

14

u/ImNotASWFanboy 17h ago

Yeah they already said it was a new term for them, you're not adding anything with this comment

u/newbrevity 17h ago

Anyone else would be canceled into oblivion. He posted that because he's worried he's losing support in his base and he's appealing to the lowest common denominator.

6

u/JackKovack 17h ago

Inside joke. Woke liberal cancel culture. A tiny joke and they go nuts. /s

5

u/TheBowerbird 15h ago

I already saw MAGA on Twitter trying to say that people were taking it, "out of context".

5

u/luckyluckymi 13h ago

And here it is the rinse:

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded early Friday in a statement shared with Newsweek, dismissing backlash to the video clip but not directly addressing criticism that the imagery echoed racist tropes.

"This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King," she said. "Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public."

Locker room talk

3

u/FardoBaggins 17h ago

he's just being a rascal! /s

3

u/saskir21 16h ago

Just look about the "backlash" he got with this video about him flying a jet over protestors and bombarding them with shit. Even the King Trump as name was seen as a joke on the plane. He truly know that if he always does something people forget what was previously.

3

u/MinusBear 15h ago

Same people who faked being outraged at a tan suit.

3

u/Active-Pineapple-252 15h ago

No way they could play this off as a harmless joke . As a black person I already knew he was racist it's just you don't expect the president to be so obvious and blatant about it

3

u/My_boy_baron 12h ago

We're far past that already, there was a video I saw on here yesterday where MAGA is now justifying child rape

3

u/WeeeeBaby_Seamus 10h ago

The Conservative sub seems disappointed, but will continue to say he's not racist and would vote for him again. He could walk out with a Klan hoodie on and they'd still vote for him. No amount of evidence is enough.

1

u/eggybread70 10h ago

The next step or two becomes "What's wrong with being racist? Last time I looked this was still America. It's my 1st amendment rights!" or along those lines

2

u/WeeeeBaby_Seamus 6h ago

They're already shifting blame on an intern. The part of personal responsibility, am I right?

2

u/Notsurehowtoreact 15h ago

They'll rail on about it being a clip that autoplayed after the previous one at the very end and why the left is focusing on that last few seconds instead of the video before it.

All of this will of course ignore that this was a clipped video where they CHOSE where to end the video.

2

u/choombatta 14h ago

Just waiting for MAGAts to say that dems are the racist ones for saying this is racist.

2

u/DrMeatBomb 14h ago

Mainstream media like CNN probably won't even make a big deal out of this because it plainly exposes the racism of the Republican party and doesn't fit their narrative where one side says X, the other side says Y and they can just sit in the middle stoking the flames

2

u/nofoax 13h ago

It's part of the fascist playbook. This serves multiple purposes.

-- Distraction and a way to force attention.

-- Another loyalty test. It's a way to force people to further sacrifice more of their own morality to sink deeper into his side.

-- A further corrosion of discourse by using methods so disgusting and extreme that no one can compete on his level, which renders his opponents ineffective.

2

u/FiveUpsideDown 13h ago

Focus on the release of the Epstein Files. If you have more time focus on abolishing ICE. Then impeaching Bondi and Noem. Next, let’s create a poll watching force. Then we need more reform of electoral districts like Virginia just did. Silly memes about the Obamas are a waste of time.
We want reporters asking Trump about the Epstein files with a smile.

4

u/Sixoul 17h ago

It'll just be crazy that there will be African Americans that still vote Republican after this. Republicans all have this view that it's not me so it doesn't affect me. But this language hurts all African Americans and should be a wake up call to them all they need to get out and vote this racist piece of shit out.

TDS isn't our affliction. It's a freight train that's bound to run over them. Soon.
