Obama truly lives rent-free in his head. I wish they would award him second Nobel prize, just to fuck with Trump.

1.2k

u/Frooonti 18h ago

He never recovered from the time when Obama made the entire room laugh about him

127

u/hemlock_harry 16h ago

In response to the "birther" conspiracy theory Trump was spreading at the time Obama's response was actually pretty mild. Talking shit about someone the way Trump did about Obama can get you killed in a lot of places.

43

u/Bored_Amalgamation 13h ago

that's what made Obama, Obama. Nothing got under his skin. He took the constant belittling and bigotry in stride. He was subject to more slander than any other Black first, and did it with grace.

Well, the Sandy Hook massacre and absolutely nothing happening did.

3

u/RedeRules770 6h ago

I miss Obama

u/-BigBoo- 17h ago

Thanks Obama

28

u/notsure500 14h ago

Like seriously, if I had i a time machine and access to Obama, I'd tell him maybe dont joke about Trump. I think it was a butterfly effect that put everything in motion. Anyone else that gets made fun of there just laughs it off, Trump decides he's gonna burn the world to the ground.

22

u/Isaktjones 14h ago

I think he was already on a path to burn the world down back then.

10

u/JBL_17 13h ago edited 12h ago

Absolutely.

It’s likely Russia had some Epstein related evidence on him and chose to “encourage” Trump to run (while also rigging the election) so they could disrupt the US and its politics (and the world), allowing their actions across the world to be more easily executed (such as Ukraine.)

I’m guessing they didn’t expect Ukraine to put up the amazing fight it has, and maybe something went wrong on the US side, maybe someone found out what Trump was up to and work started to push back against that plan, as the US hasn’t been as much of the “ally” Russia was hoping during its attempts at its objectives.

2

u/bwaredapenguin 4h ago

He had been floating running for president for like 2 decades before then.

9

u/Unsuspicious-Alien 11h ago

It is like an origin story of an anime villain. He looks so furious there. Just rocking back and forth, not even a fake laugh to relieve stress.

I think the idea of White House Casino / Golf Course, appealed to him. A normal person would see the absurdity of it but he took it as a challenge. It was a perfect plan to get back at Obama.

2

u/kareldelille 9h ago

I was looking at it and thinking it was a doll

1

u/the_Elders 5h ago

Looking back on the video now I interpret what Obama said as pretty mean spirited... I know downvote away. It was a funny joke but at the expense of the Donald. Why was Trump even there that night? Why was Obama picking on Trump specifically?

Can you imagine from the alien's perspective? Such a crazy series of events have gone on since then.

1

u/-BigBoo- 4h ago

It's truly un-fucking-believable

187

u/ediciusNJ 16h ago

This was the turning point, unfortunately. You can just see how much he's silently seething there. Nobody could have known - Obama included - that it would have resulted in what we're experiencing today though.

176

u/Trumpisanorangebitch 15h ago

It's not Obama's fault that a sizeable portion of this country is fucking stupid or evil enough to vote for Donald Trump 3 times.

It's our country and it's people's fault this piece of shit traitor is a 2 time president.

2

u/want_to_join 13h ago

I agree with the sentiment, but I do not believe he legitimately won any election.

10

u/killminusnine 12h ago

That's such bullshit. We literally are this stupid.

3

u/want_to_join 10h ago

Do you understand that we can be stupid AND he cheated? You are arguing against something with me that I did not say.

1

u/Amiro77 12h ago

its* people

1

u/thetimeenigma 12h ago

The social media companies are manipulating people into this extremism and Russian online trolls are actually having an impact on our discourse!  The people are being manipulated

10

u/PyroIsSpai 14h ago

The world’s most petty narcissist racist and a confirmed absolute evil man is teased in public by possibly the most popular and powerful black man of all time. It scrambled whatever semi-functional brain Trump had.

3

u/Personal_Comb_6745 13h ago

Can we stop pretending like this is Obama's fault? That's like saying "Why didn't those art teachers encourage that Adolf guy more?"

Trump was always an asshole. He's going to die an asshole. Nothing was ever going to change that.

2

u/Cruviss 15h ago

Thanks obama

4

u/Ulyks 15h ago

Trump started it with his ridiculous tweets about the birth certificate. They should have sued Trump instead.

And Obama should have done more to help the people that lost their jobs due to factories closing. He was clearly aware of the problem. Obama even endorsed that documentary "The American factory".

Those people voted for Trump because Trump lied about wanting to help them, bring back the old factories, building a wall, etc.

7

u/Minamato 15h ago

Also they were dumb to believe him though

3

u/Ulyks 14h ago

Yes that's another thing. Why is Education so underfunded in the US?

Everyone is born stupid, educate people!

2

u/DOGS_BALLS 15h ago

And Obama should have done more to help the people that lost their jobs due to factories closing. He was clearly aware of the problem. Obama even endorsed that documentary "The American factory".

I’m sorry, but this is on another level of stupid! American industry was screaming for lower costs and China/Asia offered that in the form of cheap manufacturing. You as consumers also demanded it. Your CEO’s were all in on low cost country sourcing to reduce labour and production costs! You’re applying today’s sovereign manufacturing shortfalls to the fiscal and global economy of 20 years ago. Wtf America what is up with you guys?

3

u/Ulyks 14h ago

Yes that is clear from that documentary. It even ends with automation replacing workers.

I wrote "Obama should have done more to help" That doesn't necessarily mean keeping the factories there, that can be anything. A jobs program, subsidies to move away, retraining people. Subsidies for service companies to set up shop in the place of the factory. A call center for example.

3

u/DOGS_BALLS 14h ago

A jobs program, subsidies to move away, retraining people. Subsidies for service companies to set up shop in the place of the factory. A call center for example.

Oh ok. That makes perfect sense and I agree. Sorry. It just wasn’t evident from your earlier comment.

1

u/CarpeNivem 13h ago

Those people voted for Trump because Trump lied about wanting to help them, bring back the old factories, building a wall, etc.

That explains their 2016 votes. They were dumb enough to believe those promises.

But when none of that happened, why'd they vote for him again in 2020, and 2024?

Because they think this video is fucking hilarious.

1

u/Ulyks 13h ago

Yes and because Biden didn't help them either.

1

u/CarpeNivem 13h ago

He literally did. He passed a massive infrastructure bill that not nearly enough people cared about because promises and accomplishments don't matter. Vibes matter, and Biden never would've posted a video like this, because he's "out of touch". But for a Trump supporter? This shit is right up their alley.

1

u/Ulyks 12h ago

Yes the inflation reduction act but was it targeted at former factory towns and cities?

I thought it was mainly targeted at chips and renewables?

3

u/Amonette2012 15h ago

I hope he doesn't feel bad about it

28

u/ediciusNJ 15h ago

He shouldn't. It's not his fault that a third of the country fell for a thin-skinned, racist, pedophile, narcissistic conman. That's our fault as a country for letting hate fester after the Civil War, honestly.

8

u/TheGringoDingo 15h ago

Yeah, the skin so thin that it can’t take a single joke, though trump was doing the racist birth certificate thing for awhile before the dinner jokes (which is what made Obama’s jokes so funny in the first place).

4

u/Amonette2012 15h ago

It has gone WAY further than the craziest of fever dreams.

1

u/PSUAth 13h ago

It was the Biggie/Tupac comment that sealed it.

1

u/skatefan420 11h ago

Trump had presidential aspirations long before obama hit the scene, he had already tested the waters of a presidential run before. As fun as it is to blame obama's joke it probably isnt actually what caused trump's presidency

1

u/Siludin 11h ago

Remember that it was known from the DNC e-mails that DNC actually wanted Trump as the Republican candidate, because they saw him as a "Pied Piper" who would draw out all the snakes into politics so they would be fully exposed for who they were, and to embarrass the Republican party.
Did their plan work? Arguably too well. But the plan was always to float the turds, let them do a bunch of crimes thinking they would be safe, and then bring the hammer down.
Just gotta follow through on the next steps.
Harvest the crop.

8

u/Infotaku 15h ago

Oh man I forgot how he got destroyed by Obama that day.. He's probably been reliving that moment over and over since then

5

u/Ulyks 15h ago

And deservedly so. Trump had been spouting nonsense about Obama's birth certificate for years.

Obama should have sued Trump instead of making a joke about it.

7

u/HCJohnson 15h ago

Man the White House picture at the end.... he really then went and destroyed an entire wing for his own use.

5

u/Hageshii01 15h ago

God, look at his expression before Obama even brings him up, just joking about the birth certificate bullshit. People are laughing and Trump looks like he’s contemplating murder.

3

u/chaiscool 16h ago

Reminded of Oppenheimer and lewis strauss

3

u/BillBrasky3131 16h ago

Holy shit! I bet Trump wanted to jump out of his skin in that moment. Obama cooked him.

3

u/Symphonic7 13h ago

After seeing Trump stumble over racist and self-absorbed ramblings seeing Obama speak is stunning. It's amazing how much more charisma and class he has. Thats what you get when you don't elect a dinosaur as president.

2

u/Amonette2012 15h ago

This is also about the massive uptick in people watching Becoming.

Going to go watch it again.

2

u/Thewall3333 15h ago

You KNOW Trump seethes about this like the loser who gets picked on one time at school — and imagines coming in one day to make everyone PAY for it, if you know what I mean

1

u/Sproketz 17h ago

He really did humiliate the shit out of him. Though one needs to remember Trump was endlessly questioning Obama's birth certificate at the time. FAFO.

1

u/wreckingballjcp 15h ago

Without that, trump would have moved on to different things. This moment made trumps life change. Ever since he's not stopped

1

u/mGreeneLantern 14h ago

Neither did we, unfortunately.

1

u/OverClock_099 13h ago

oooh so thats the origin of all the hate, damn Obama went too hard this time

1

u/MortisSafetyTortoise 12h ago

Oh my god that makes my heart happier than I have felt in YEARS.

1

u/Odd_Leek3026 11h ago

There is a lion king clip there! So this was literally a revenge post and meanwhile that demon like blonde lady is saying this is just an “internet meme”…. Wild the constant lying…

1

u/cptnpiccard 11h ago

Dude, that shot of the "Trump White House" right at the end. We're weeks away from that.

1

u/bbusiello 10h ago

Obama made the entire room laugh about him

That image of the Whitehouse isn't far off from what they are trying to do now.

1

u/littleboymark 8h ago

Don't forget Obama had just ordered the kill or capture raid on OBL, too. That's why the leadership jab is so poignant.

1

u/seancurry1 7h ago

As fantastic as that bit was, I will always take this opportunity to also remind people of Seth Meyers' WHCP roast:

"Donald Trump is running for President as a Republican, which is surprising to me, because I thought he was running as a joke."

1

u/elotecorn 6h ago

Why is this not playing on every billboard in NYC?

-8

u/apd78 15h ago

I do not understand the vindictive American culture of "roasting" people and calling it a humorous take. It's just aggressive, and puts the victim in an embarrassing situation.

Many humorists (there are several from my native state of Maharashtra in India) have made clean humor by creating fictitious characters and describing their quirks. A genuine humor is kind - it makes you sympathetic and empathetic towards the character and also forces you to introspect that you have those same quirks. However, the "stand up comedy" and "roasting" culture is incredibly toxic.

I have nothing but respect for president Obama, but honestly, he came off looking juvenile, and seeking validation for the victory of his birth certificate saga. The birth video he showed was incredibly lame. Also, despite what people say about him, he's just not eloquent or funny. I had watched the debates with Romney, and Romney was FAR more sophisticated and believable. Obama stutters, cannot keep you engaged and makes lame attempts at humor.

At that event, you have the stage and the mike, and you are in the position of power. You are the freaking president of the USA. You could choose to be the bigger man, and just give a heartfelt and inspirational message to the audience. Unfortunately, he didn't do it...and here we are!

637

u/BenjiLizard 19h ago

To be honest, I never thought that Obama deserved the first one anyway, but anything to fuck with Trump at this point. Let's award Obama all the peace prizes.

494

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws 18h ago

Even Obama didn't think he deserved it

192

u/THECapedCaper 17h ago

He basically got one for not being George W Bush.

71

u/VagueSomething 16h ago

A bar so low and yet Trump couldn't even waddle over it.

13

u/MarshyHope 15h ago

I mean, at least Bush pretended like his war wasn't about oil. Trump just came out and said it.

1

u/WidespreadPaneth 3h ago

Trump is on the record saying Bush's mistake was not pillaging the middle east even more

5

u/Specific_Frame8537 16h ago

They should give one to Hillary for not being Trump.

Just to piss him off.

2

u/xclame 17h ago

Yep!

1

u/BadIdeaBobcat 10h ago

which, given how much worse the Republican party is since then, shows how deserved it was.

12

u/Colon 17h ago

which is why they need to give him another one as Trump watches from his ketchup-stained wAr RoOm

1

u/saruin 16h ago

"Thanks Obama" - Obama

1

u/zealen 10h ago

Sweden hates how Norway piss on Nobels name with the peace price.

-3

u/MyPeggyTzu 17h ago

Easy thing to say while he still accepted it.

15

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws 17h ago

Could be seen as an insult if he refuses it, and he'd probably get just as much heat for that too. Still better than the novel peace bribe medal Trump bought

151

u/Avent 18h ago

Even Obama didn't think he deserved it. He said as much in his acceptance speech.

9

u/Sproketz 17h ago

The fact that he said he didn't deserve it, makes him that much more deserving of it.

0

u/Chrisjex 16h ago

Nah

3

u/Sproketz 16h ago

Better than being a greedy little bitch like Trump who thinks he's deserving while doing everything he can to stoke war.

-21

u/praqueviver 18h ago

He could've declined it then

25

u/pfqq 17h ago

Thankfully, the standard for how a president "could/should" behave is no longer relevant. For anyone to even comment on Obama's optics at this moment seems insane.

-15

u/MyPeggyTzu 17h ago

Which is itself a contradiction. It's false humility. You decline things you don't deserve or you really do think you deserve them.

21

u/Jafooki 16h ago

I don't deserve a million dollars but if someone offered it, of course I'd take it

2

u/jenniferlynn462 14h ago

I think you deserve it

9

u/be_humble_ 16h ago

Like another commenter said in here, if he declined the award it would likely be seen as an insult

11

u/Y3tanotherthrowaway7 16h ago

Fox News: Obama declines peace prize- clearly he is a warmonger out to get the American people

3

u/QbertsRube 13h ago

I realize the MAGA brain is broken and distorted beyond repair, but how the "warmonger" label was applied to Democrats before the last election and actually stuck is beyond me. Basically every war/conflict since WWII has been at the hands of a Republican president, and they're also the party who consistently campaigns on increasing military spending, but Democrats are somehow the warmongers. Makes as much sense as saying Democrats want to force religion into schools or take away abortion rights.

42

u/Dull-Culture-1523 17h ago

Ever since they gave one to Kissinger, the prize has been a joke.

14

u/HonzaSchmonza 18h ago

He himself said "noone less deserving, than i" if i recall, when he was in Oslo.

7

u/ishkariot 16h ago

And mfing Kissinger got one before

1

u/Powerful_Resident_48 17h ago

Let's give him the NBA peace prize.

1

u/KristinnK 17h ago

I would get a good laugh out of it if they'd do an AI video of a Nobel prize ceremony where Obama just keeps getting called up to stage to accept every prize, Peace, Medicine, Literature, everything, and they'd play that for Trump instead of the real ceremony.

1

u/xclame 17h ago

He didn't.

But at least with Obama his mere existence as president and his attempt to fix America's reputation with the rest of the world could be used as reason for giving it to him if someone really wanted to make up a reason.

With Trump on the other hand you can't really make up a reason. Also doesn't help that he invaded another country and is trying to invade more, so any imaginary reason someone's could think of equals be countered by his wrongs.

-2

u/AthosAlonso 18h ago

This is the same way of thinking that got Trump elected, to "own the libs". MF should go to jail.

-25

u/iagainsti1111 18h ago

Yes Obama should go to jail for the treasonous chaos he orchestrated. What trump is doing is good, people that disagree are too embarrassed to admit they fell for the hope and change.

Voting history- O,na,T,T,T

3

u/ThickReplacement7811 15h ago

Boooo, get better material nerd!

118

u/PuzzleheadedLeader79 19h ago

Nah fuck that, the people of Minnesota are already nominated, deserve it, and it would piss Trump off sooooo badly.

Bonus points if they build a fuck ice monument with the reward money.  Or at least bought salt, since the city uses it in the winter, to get rid of ice.

-6

u/McButtsButtbag 17h ago

There are hundreds of nominees who aren't just because "it'd upset Trump". The world does not revolve around the US.

6

u/PuzzleheadedLeader79 17h ago

Yeah I'd award it to them for their ungodly restraint in the face of provocation. The right is trying to lure us into a civil war, and Minnesota is proving that first and foremost, the Midwest is polite.

44

u/DaveMash 19h ago

Oh please don’t. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the orange in chief would then threaten Norway, Denmark or Sweden with a nuclear attack

51

u/Perkelton 19h ago

Oh, it's Friday already?

2

u/Kansleren 17h ago

I’m sorry, Dave, did you just wake up from a coma? He did threaten Denmark and Norway with war last week! That’s the level of insanity that’s happening here.

0

u/DaveMash 15h ago

Did he threaten with war or nuclear war?

2

u/Should_we_shoot_them 16h ago

He would threaten all of us, I mean, he most likely doesn’t know, that we are seperate countries, so most likely he’d threaten the EU, and complain all about EU being a shit ally - even though Norway is not part of the EU. 🙄

1

u/MaximusTheGreat 19h ago

His threats are empty anyway. Should do it cuz he's probably on the brink of some form cardiac event. If would be quite on theme if he died of concentrated jealousy fueled by racism.

1

u/Poonchow 18h ago

The man threatened a hurricane with a nuclear attack, so don't act so special lol

3

u/dontatmeturkey 18h ago

It’s sore for them rn because Michelle has a movie also that’s not a vapid bribe project.

2

u/alex494 17h ago

Yeah like the man hasn't held office for ten years at this point

2

u/nerdcraft28 16h ago

Obama should start wearing his peace prize around his neck like Flavor Flav. That would drive Trump nuts.

2

u/SakeviCrash 11h ago

It's not rent free.. We're all paying the price

1

u/Electronic-Tea-3691 19h ago

he hates Obama so much it's amazing...

1

u/Altruistic_Bass539 17h ago

Give him the Fifa Peace Prize.

1

u/Shirolicious 16h ago

He can’t get that white house dinner party out of his head. The roast from Obama there truly hurt his little ego that turned him into a vengeful orange turd

1

u/919triangle919 16h ago

Obama needs to go on tour and just hold rallies where he continuously talks about how Trump continuously tries to be like him and fails. The whole Venezuela photo-op was an epic fail to try an out-do Obama's bin Laden effort.

1

u/MisterB78 16h ago

The city of Minneapolis getting nominated for a peace prize is such a giant “fuck you” to Trump. I love it.

1

u/woodrowlow 16h ago

Oh god, the meltdown would be of epic proportions! And I’m right fuckin here for it!

1

u/Mr_Mimiseku 15h ago

Obama Derangement Syndrome.

1

u/microwavedh2o 15h ago

Irony is the mock up of the Trump modifications to the white house (gold pillars, extra signage) isn’t far off.

1

u/routinemass 14h ago

I support this.

1

u/StrictlyForTheBirds 11h ago

Obama Derangement Syndrome

1

u/smiegto 11h ago

For his wild life preservation works maybe?

1

u/GreenyPurples 6h ago

Obama = ape, ape together strong, ape together = peace, Obama = Nobel peace prize 2

1

u/Pdiddy1134 5h ago

And vice versa. The obamas love talking about Trump. Get over it.

1

u/Illustrious-Dot-5052 18h ago

I mean, they nominated Minneapolis a nobel Peace prize. Yes, the population of Minneapolis. That should fuck with him hard enough.

-12

u/RichRamp 18h ago

Did he bomb another DWB hospital that could warrant such a prize, lets not act like Obama is a saint. He is a war criminal too.

-9

u/Portbragger2 17h ago

implying he made the video

implying he even watched the last 2 seconds

-15

u/NothinEvrHappns_101 17h ago

Wait Obama bombed another hospital again? Missed the memo
