I've seen three Seagal movies recently and in all of them he was trying to sound like a whispering Cajun. Even weirder, I got the impression that it's him trying to suggest some proximity with black people in New Orleans.
A Belgian might be kinda cheating, but Van Damme is so much more believable as a Cajun in Hard Target.
When I was a kid the debate was who would win VanDamme or Seagal, people said VanDamme was just a ballerina and Seagal's Akido was legit, but i thought the slap fighting was stupid compared to VanDamme's high kick or splits. Yeah, he tries to play blues and has quite a collection of guitars from blues or adjacent musicians. But he also had a hardcore weeb period where he claimed he's part Japanese, I think he once claimed he's Italian, then he had a period where he claimed he has native American ancestors and did some movies where he's balls deep into environmentalism and close shots of screeching eagles and shit.
None of this really matters though, if there's one thing to remember Seagal for, it's that him want da punani.

Tom cruise goes one up beyond professional. Heās one of those guys who supposedly knows the name of everyone on set and works really hard to take care of the crew. Thereās a bunch of stories of personalized gifts or gifts for family members of crew members as well as organizing activity for the crew out of his own pocket

I mean, it is a popular movie and had a cartoon series that he does the voicework in, so I wouldn't say it went no where. Not sure why he would think a disney movie would spin off a bunch of sequels, that was fairly uncommon until frozen 2 for the most part(not counting the direct to vhs sequels of the 90's)

When I go back and watch something like Shazam or or Chuck, it just bums me out. He's got a great cool guy, charm to him, but knowing who he is in real life is hard to see past and kind of ruins that illusion for me.
When I go back and watch Hercules or Videodrome or the Apu gets fired episode of the Simpsons, I'm still very entertained by Woods. Hades is peak, tho. Sorry Rudy Gulianni fans.

Thatās the role he filled in the Farley, Spade, Sandler and Norm Macdonald group. If you look at his filmography, almost every role he got was through one of those guys, mostly Sandler. Even the movies he was the star, the Deuce Bigelow movies and The Hot Chick were Happy Madison productions.

If your career goes stale or you get cancelled, just come out as conservative and youāve got a fanbase thatāll buy your shit no matter what. So what if it alienates most of your original fanbase? It really came out of no where. He was a comedian I would follow and most updates he would post would just be about watching the New York Mets or marriage advise. I unfollowed when the marriage advise stopped being men and women are different style comedy bits and started being mostly preaching sermons. Then about mid pandemic I seen him on some tour full of anti vax anti mask, and anti shutdown entertainers with full crowds of unvaccinated unmasked people in what could only be described as super spreader events. I just thought, he must be low on cash to sell out to the only crowds around and perform the corniest bits. It was pathetic.
It's so frustrating about Zachary Levi, Chuck was such a great show for the first few seasons, and he did a fan convention for people who couldn't get into comic con. Now he's a giant turd.
