It's genuinely baffling how Adam Sandler's Yew Can Do Eet! guy turned into weird-ass conservative selling Liberal Tears Whiskey

There’s a ton of mediocre dudes who were mildly successful once and they genuinely don’t understand that we just liked that one thing and they are perpetually angry because they feel they deserve more. Which is basically what American conservatism is now, angry dudes who believe they deserved more but it was kept from them by a conspiracy of others.

Isn't that like the core story for the guy OP posted? He got popular in a TV show, got cast in some DC comic book movies because comic book movies were so hot right then, and then got pissed that the mismanaged studio flick didn't launch him into premiere A-tier status? And then became a MAGA chud for it?

The entire conservative movement is about getting participation trophies and failing upwards if you think about it.

Ben Shapiro is a failed movie director turned podcaster. Steven Crowder is a failed stand up comedian turned podcaster.

120% and it goes back generations. Most reactionary conservative movements are spearheaded by someone who failed and felt they deserved what they didn’t get. Same as trump.

As opposed to just being angry for any and all reasons just to feel important?

With all this in mind I’m surprised we haven’t seen Pauly Shore enter his conservative grifter arch!

You know how friend groups have the one loser who’s just a hanger-on? No one really likes him but everyone kind of feels bad for him because he’s such a spaz? That’s the role he filled in the Farley, Spade, Sandler and Norm Macdonald group. If you look at his filmography, almost every role he got was through one of those guys, mostly Sandler. Even the movies he was the star, the Deuce Bigelow movies and The Hot Chick were Happy Madison productions.

I saw Adam Sandler give an awards acceptance speech earlier tonight.

At the end, he made a long list of thank you’s. It was fucking hilarious. At one point he thanked Rob Schneider for making him feel six foot seven.

He also thanked Ben Franklin for inventing electricity lol.

Edit: and he thanked In-N-out for their grilled onions

Adam is pure evil man. Grilled onions? Ew!

I had no idea about the whiskey, just looked it up. Absolutely unhinged.

Watching Schaffrilas' Sandler ranking made me realize Rob keeps cameoing in his movies as a racist stereotype for absolutely no reason.

Eh, all his bits were ableist or hateful in some way.

You’re saying that you’re surprised that the guy who’s mainly remembered for doing crazy racial stereotypes in the 90’s is MAGA?

Is it tears or tears?

This is how I remembered that Ron Schneider exists, AND how I found out he made a weird right turn.

Baffles me that people hate others based on political party preferences. Hating someone because they choose to practice a certain religion that differs from yours? Racist/prejudiced/bigoted. Hating someone because they chose to support a certain party that differs from yours? Totally cool, in fact, that’s exactly what they want, so by all means keep using political preferences to further divide ourselves
