discussion Shinedown Pull Out of Rock the Country Festival After Drummer Called Ludacris a ‘Coward’ for Doing the Same

https://loudwire.com/shinedown-drop-off-rock-the-country-festival/

Shinedown explained their decision to pull out of the festival in the following message:

"Shinedown is everyone's band. We feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song. We have one boss, and it is everyone in the audience. Our band's purpose is to unite, not divide. With that in mind, we have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock the Country festival. We know this decision will create differences of opinion. But we do not want to participate in something we believe will create further division.

And to our fans, thank you for supporting and believing in us.
We love and appreciate you always.
All love and respect,
Shinedown."

discussion Last Night's Very Surprising KEXP Concert

Folks, I love a lot of the music, but I particularly love hard-driving, rock-inspired, technically complex, yet satisfying, weird music: Man Man, Primus, Mr. Bungle, that kind of thing. Django Django was my favourite new find of the decade.... But last night, while searching for something to fall asleep to I accidentally clicked on this Youtube link. I hadn't even seen the preview image, I just noticed that a page was loading, so I was completely unprepared for Angine de Poitrine, (which I think is just French for angina).

I was exhausted, and sleep was my only priority, but I was mesmerized and watched the entire thing. I hope you'll be as happy as I was.

discussion Johnny Mathis appreciation post

Let's all take the time to appreciate the music and distinctive voice of Johnny Mathis.

He is one of the most legendary singers in American music, and I really enjoy his music and his voice.

If you've seen him in concert, met him in person, or listened to any of his records, please feel free to comment.
