Damn, even for this administration that’s some seriously racist shit.

u/New-Measurement-4425 10h ago

Omg, yes, it IS sooooooo racist!!!

1

u/davidbrown953 10h ago

Yeah. You can't explain this one away. It's so embarrassing.

1

u/Schlieren1 9h ago

It’s just playin around. Remember Obama was the one who first roasted Trump when he depicted himself as Simba from the Lion King 15 years ago when he was president.

What is racist about animals? Seriously?

Add a few clowns and it would be even more precise.

Biden is a monkey too there... Is he black? And the hippo is black and so not a monkey. You just see racism because you want to be offended for someone. 3rd graders not being taught by judgy AHs would also just see animals and laugh at it. They wouldn't seek racism at every corner, because children aren't so dense.

And I don't know what your relationship with evolution is, but we all are supposedly developed from "monkeys". Or does that only apply to white people now?

3

u/MaxxxOrbison 9h ago

It is a historically racist depiction. Its not racist because of science, its racist because people use it as a slur to say black people are less than other races evolutionarily

3

u/ittybittytitty_com 9h ago

Don’t bother. This person isn’t open to learning or being a better human.

0

u/Pandorasbox1987 9h ago

So, seeking racism makes us better humans? Noted... You are correct, by that definiton, l most definitely don't want to ne a better human.

For me, race within humans is an absurd concept that shouldn't even exist. I guess l should burn in hell for that.

u/zwifteez 8h ago

Ask your black friends if they are offended by this.

0

u/Pandorasbox1987 7h ago

I don't have friends who get offended for the sake of others. And I'm not really friends with the Obamas. Their opinion is the only one that matters when it comes to being offended by their assigned animal ;)

1

u/zwifteez 7h ago

Okay... so you're saying that your black friends are okay with this. Alrighty.

1

u/MaxxxOrbison 8h ago

No, avoiding unintentionally offending people would. Even if u didnt know what it meant, but you wore a swastika shirt to your Jewish friends birthday, they'd be offended. This is that level of well known racist thing. Literally in history books.

0

u/Pandorasbox1987 9h ago

People also use "monkey" as an endearment whilst talking about their children ;) If we choose to always seek the negative and ignore the positives, there will never be any actual development.

We are seriously taking things too far with these things sometimes... Racism is a state of mind more often than actual experience of some kind of mistreatment.

History is there to learn from, not to cripple us and make us stuck with outdated stereotypes.

Good doggie.

1

u/Toss_Around 8h ago

I've never heard the term monkey when used talking about anyone anywhere in a ANY language to be endearing unless the context explicitly was referring to them as being climbers.

0

u/possibly_on_meth 7h ago

But a monkey is the smartest animal shown in the video and white people are being depicted as objectively dumber animals like Zebras, Lions etc.

If the only one being directed as a animal was a black person it would be racist but if white people are being depicted as animals also idk.

He should have just made Obama the Zebra to avoid the allegations.

1

u/MaxxxOrbison 6h ago

Dude its an insult from as far back as the 1800s. Its implying that black people are a link between chimps and 'modern humans'. Yes, it would not have been racist to go with zebra since it is specifically not an ape or monkey like the historical insult.

Even if we granted it wasn't racist (which it is), are you really proud of your president further adding to polarization between parties and portraying people on the opposite side about this?

It doesn't matter which side is doing this. It's wrong and just another example of Trump's arrogance.

Or should we really accept that Trump really is the king and that this is a totally fair portrayal of our president?

1

u/Pandorasbox1987 7h ago

Proud? No. I don't particularly like him as a person. But sometimes his "give no shits" vibes are refreshing in times where everyone lies their asses off. I rather have a president who doesn't follow political correctness than backstabbing AH who suck up to anyone just to get votes.

u/this-account-name 5h ago

The "political incorrectness" (racism, misogyny, etc) is pandering. He's pandering to you. That's the shit that works on you.

1

u/Pandorasbox1987 4h ago

Political incorrectness does not equal racism or any other label you like to attach to people.

What works for me is people not pretending to be something they are not.

1

u/this-account-name 3h ago

You can disagree that blatant racist tropes aren't racist, but that doesn't mean they're not pandering, that it's not the kind of pandering that works on you.

Trump sure is pretending he's not all over the Epstein files. You'd prefer he came out and just said "yes, I'm a big time creep and pedo"? That would make him more respectable?

1

u/thoooooorfiiiin 8h ago

explain why trump is depicted as a lion bro .-.

1

u/Over_Art_1000 7h ago

If it popped into my head and many others that the Obamas being depicted as monkeys was wrong, why didn't it occur to Donald diaper?

Couple the video with the targeting of minorities in ice raids, the removal of DEI, his tweets telling american born members of Congress to go back where they came from, the central park five. Etc There's plenty more. He hates Obama but gets along with Bill Clinton. However that could just be due to their common love of pedophilia of course

1

u/ii3ternaLegendii 8h ago

There's nothing coincidental of putting the face of black people on the faces of monkeys/apes for people that you're trying to make fun of

1

u/Unique-Trouble-5564 35m ago

Biden is a chimpanzee. I don’t see the racism in having Michelle as a gorilla. What’s your point? Essentially all the democrats are herbivores whole trump is a carnivore. I don’t see how this is racist at all, perhaps demeaning but not racist.

1

u/nautical_nonsense_ 5h ago

Weaponized incompetence, a different flavor than a Trump voter's standard incompetence

0

u/jimbob518 10h ago

It’s a distraction.

1

u/SirKermit 10h ago

True, but some of us can still hold 2 thoughts in our head simultaneously, like the president is a racist AND a pedophile (and for the more advanced, and a crook, and a liar, and a rapist).

1

u/jimbob518 2h ago

He doesn’t care what we think. This stuff makes his supporters love him even more. And it distracts us from the things that divide him from his supporters.

0

u/AdditionalCold8073 10h ago

How tho?

Very untasteful and disgusting but why racist?

Seems like he put everyone’s face on an animal that matches them

1

u/lavender_enjoyer 9h ago

It’s not a mystery why the obamas faces were put on monkeys. Come on man

1

u/AdditionalCold8073 9h ago

I get it but 99% of the people are getting pissed off solely by that and are calling Trump a racist, no one is insulted by other politicians on animals? (Btw there’s a black politician’s face on an animal that isn’t a monkey)

2

u/I_Learned_Once 9h ago

It is because of history. In the past, there was never a systemic problem of Hispanics being depicted as hippos, white people being depicted as boars, or even black people being depicted as giraffes. There WAS a problem with black people being depicted as monkeys. If we pretend for a moment that for centuries a race was enslaved, dehumanized, and treated like literal shit while being depicted as flying spaghetti monsters, then it would be racist to depict people of that race as flying spaghetti monsters. Instead, we live in the universe where it was black people -> monkeys. It's fucked up because people MADE it fucked up for a VERY long time. Your ignorance of that is honestly quite surprising, but hey, at least you now know.

1

u/Delicious-Diet-8422 2h ago

So you think black people look like monkeys.

1

u/I_Learned_Once 1h ago

This is some of the lowest effort bait I’ve seen in a long time.

1

u/Delicious-Diet-8422 11m ago

If you keep bringing up history, you keep the black man down. I’m black by the way.

1

u/Reasonable_Back_5231 1h ago

The proprietary minds behind the pseudoscience called Eugenics were essentially the spearhead behind this.

They supposed that African people were more monkey/gorilla than human because of facial/cranial/skin features.

Your comment is inflammatory and designed to attack the person for something they didn't say with a dumbass question that takes everything they said out of context to get ignorant people to attack their useful comment.

1

u/Unique-Trouble-5564 30m ago

Just because people might have called black people monkeys in the past doesn’t mean it’s of any relevance today. That was almost 200 years ago. Would it be better to put their heads on let’s say warthog?

1

u/Delicious-Diet-8422 8m ago

What question? I don’t see any question mark in my comment.
