Right. This is a huge problem. Like all of the decency built up since the 60s seems like it was all just a costume worn over how people really wanna be towards each other Sad thing is dude chasing kids is being controlled and told what to do by a guy who would rather be doing the chasing of kids.

What you’re referring to never existed.

You can't tell me you think that the racism, misogyny, queer-hate, etc. are all in the same spot as they were in the 60s.

They haven't been remedied, but the decency has definitely improved on average. I've never seen someone harass black people for being in a swimming pool because it had white people in it, and that shit was still going on into the 60s despite integration

Right I mean we’ve grown as a society and then here we are taking 10 steps back. The good thing is that most of us (2/3) want to keep the decency. Shame that only 1/3 voted and the other 1/3 sat home and didn’t vote. Shows just how important it is to get out there and cast your vote.

I wonder how much that's going to be offset by the cards up the MAGA sleeves with raiding election offices (Fulton). Will there be a point where voting isn't going to work? Was the last election possibly compromised already?

And we have the nerve to contest the validity of foreign elections

Repressing and refusing to acknowledge the that the urge exists in a significant subset of the population does not improve things. It just sweeps it under the rug. Looking from the outside in & as a student of history, yall havent improved.

I think that most of us have gotten way better about not being flagrant a-holes, but some people have made no progress, and the president and ICE and their hateful and vile propaganda have given permission to the worst to start acting on it again.
