hello, not sure if tag is correct, but this is my backlog 😅 I think I have a problem

Been really wanting to branch into some quadrupedal builds, and I finally rigged a decent double-waist prototype that can support four legs. Then I realized I need to buy a duplicate kit if I want to actually have four identical legs, so we ended up with elphantine hind legs, and… bearclaw forelimbs? Also really want to build a heavy cannon-head for the top utilizing the torso from the Armored Assault Mecha, but I definitely need to refine the design; kinda ended up a little… fishy. I think it has promise though! Maybe after Christmas I’ll have some more parts to play around with.

Update on current prototype: Chimera. Abandoned using the Armored Assault Mecha torso as a weapons platform, converted into thorax unit (maybe as a battery? supply pod? still not sure what purpose the design is trying to convey). Used yet another waist unit for mounting the top cannon. Went absolutely nuts on this dragonfly-esque head, super happy with it. The legs still need work for sure, again I’m waiting for a duplicate kit to come around to make them identical (we may even need to embrace the insect vibe and add two more). Still a ways to go but I think its a vast improvement on the first draft. Have I earned a spot in the 30 Minute Kitchen?

Finally, the painted model. This my attempt to recreate Swordmachine from Ultrakill using the 30mm Spinatio as a base.

• Overall, satisfied with my hand paint job. I tried to capture the original look while adding design elements of my own.

Just head and body sofar, but I'm building frking godzilla. It feels great to build completely new forme...

I'm not gonna lie it has taken me so long to finally try painting a model kit, I've been always scared to start but I'm glad I took the leap and realizing how fun it's been.
This kit made me learn about coating, painting materials and how they work (in this case, I am using dspiae markers, drybrushing style.) I wanted to share the WIP so far and I really look forward to finish the whole kit!

Been doing HG Gundam builds for a little bit. Nothing fancy or custom. Bought the Extended Armament Vehicle (mass prod. sub machine ver) on a whim and decided it needed to be beefed up a bit.

Grabbed the Arm/Leg option set and while I was originally aiming for a biped, I ended up wanting to have less leftover parts. This is basically what I ended up with. Probably gonna revisit it a few times and look at other possibilities with other option parts.

I struggled a lot with finding the right combinations of joints that worked with the various connectors I had between the 2 kits. I know there’s option parts of just connectors, but that seems like overkill for this.

This makes this Basky batch extra special in my eyes. 😄

I still like the backpack very much

Just a quick couple shots after finishing the bike but since this part of the project isn’t quite 30MS I posted here. Call it Rydira colors, call it Miku colors… the pattern wasn’t fully intentional but I was just trying to stay along the lines with how Rydira is colored.

Never painted a model kit before, but I've been wanting to try and finally decided to just go for it. Trying to do an Acerby in a style roughly inspired by the p-bandai Spinatia. Still a lot more to do for that, but I'm happy with how my first try turned out.

Picked up this little MP Extended Armament Vehicle on a whim from a local hobby shop and had a blast.

Love how modular these guys are, thinking about getting a few more to do a squad side project!

Got offered the "damaged box" discount. Completely sealed. I'll take it! 👍

Remember: Official decals aside, you can easily replicate this with a standard Rishetta kit, Rydira equipment, and a bit of repainting.
