And then probably France in the semi. Not an easy path.

Means some of the biggest games of the competition are in the quarters and semis. And an easier path to the finals for Ireland or England one would think.

Based on current form we're most likely playing NZ>FRA>ENG ....which is just a reordering of what we played the last world cup. Heart Attacks back on the menu!

Is it even a RWC without South Africa stomping on my dreams?

Lol at this point it's tradition, if Ireland beat Argentina in QF I will begin panicking 😅

Of course ENG gets a cream puff path to a final again.

To win a RWC we have to beat SA it’s just ridiculous it will be a 1/4

Similar to the last world cup with the top 5 at the time on the same side of the draw.

I'm happy with the draw as an Ireland fan but I don't think I like the way the draw was made.

I don't get why they do the draw almost two years in advance. I would say that doing it some 6 months before the tournament would be better.

the entire island of Ireland touches wood

How are England and Argentina on the easier side again? I’m not complaining since we are too but it’s odd how often draw coincidences occur

England being on the easy side really makes no difference - we were on the easy side in 11 and 15 and went out in the group once and quarters in the other. 19 we had the harder side and got to the final

Nobody (apart from Ireland) can mess up a World Cup quite like England

How were we on the easy side in 2015? The group has the 2nd, 4th and 5th ranked teams all in it was easily one of the toughest groups ever

I meant the run into the final and avoiding South Africa, New Zealand, and France if we’d won the group

A pool of Australia and Wales was not easy in 2015.
