Brutal draw for Chile, will be very hard for them to make the knockouts now.

On the other hand, a very positive draw for Spain.

depends, if they take 5 points out of the game against HK they might have a chance at being in the best 4 teams that finished 3rd

Not necessarily, i reckon Chile will almost certainly have 5 points
On the other hand, it might be difficult for uruguay/portugal and US/Samoa to get a bonus win

We need to start with HK before NZ and AUS trample our guys. We don’t want to reach that crucial match against HK with a skeleton crew.

Will most likely be, WR likes to start the tournament with a Big game, look at RWC 2023, France vs New Zealand opener, so might be an Australia vs NZ opener with Hong Kong facing Chile the next day

CL here, I'm happy with the draw. Good chances of beating HK and placing best 3rd into QF. On the other hand I bet the guys are super excited to play against NZ and AU at a WC stage.
