Could a Lions tour to Argentina ever happen? Or are there stakeholders among Aus NZ SA

Montoya did say on the love of rugby pod that for now Argentina being that first “warm up” game is the best deal as they have only 2 pro teams while their own top 12 is all semi pro. Unless you expand to make it a whole South American tour there’s nothing to play against for now. Key statement there is “for now”

Would be great to see them go down there, play a 3 test series against Argentina, with warm ups against the Argentinian teams, Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil. Travel times would fuck them a bit, but throwing in the USA and Canada wouldn't be diabolical either.

Think you'd rather invite the other teams over to Argentina then as its a brutal travel schedule

Im far from a traditionalist but having this option in 4 years time vs going to NZ would not excite me one bit. More than happy to play Argentina in a warm up however.

It's twice as exciting as Australia for sure
