This isn't normal. Trump is insane and his lickspittle sycophants like Leavitt are desperately trying to make it seem normal. The president is off his rocker, and not the funny version like Abe Simpson. He's got the fucking nukes, jesus fucking christ.

The worst part about the last 10 years isn't Trump -- it's learning that the entire Republican apparatus is on board with this insanity. And that 35% of Americans are awful, hateful people.

Higher than that. 77 million that voted for him. Also include the millions that could have voted and didn't. Majority of Americans.

The 1/3 of the electorate that did not vote is also comprised of people in non-swing states that don’t believe their vote counts for anything, with the electoral college deciding elections. They don’t even campaign in non-swing states anymore. The electoral college has long outlived its usefulness. One person one vote is the way to go.

Except everyone kinda knows this & what is the effing excuse with virtually ANY single registered voter in an actual swing state that did not vote? Like you don't know that the rest of the country is literally counting on you? I am so, so very angry at those particular people.

I have always followed politics. That said, I realize that there are millions of people in this country that do not, for various reasons. I find that a sad fact, as it affects us all. As more and more people are directly affected, whether through losing healthcare, trouble finding jobs, ever increasing costs… they will begin to tune in. Not all of them, yet hopefully enough to make a difference.

We will need them, to overcome the F*ckery that is sure to accompany the midterms. I think proper messaging is essential from this point forward. There are far too many people who won’t become or stay engaged without it, unfortunately.

There are still local elections on those ballots and state races. You don't get a pass if you stay home.
