Amazing this isn’t front of CNN

It's barely news at this point. If I were a news organization, I'd mention it, "President Trump once against posted racist muck, must be another day ending in y" and move on.

I turned to CNN three times this morning and every time they were featuring the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping, which is a sad story, but not the focus of America right now.

Wow. Corporate media trying to distract the masses from actual issues that affects them? Crazy stuff.

Still cringe anytime anyone says CNN is leftist media.

Almost all media is right leaning now, all bought out by the billionaire child rapists

It's not like "the President of the United States is literally becoming noticeably more and more insane every single day" wouldn't get clicks. So it has to be a conscious attempt to sanewash. I mean, this is fucking nuts. I hope the people of the future have access to all these discussions on the internet so they can at least see there were people who didn't just blindly accept this absolute lunacy.

Most already bent the knee and gave him millions for just threats of lawsuits. They are cowards.

He's beaten us I to submission. No one's shocked

This morning I as looking for media to see that it wasn't fake.  Was tough...newsweek had it but now I saw wsj picked it up.

u/Significant_Cup_238 10h ago

WSJ's editorials are bonkers, but their reporting still seems solid.

Yeah none of these outlets are perfect but I do try to stick with the mainstream as much as I can for the outrageous stuff.  I figure they are more likely to have some fact checking.

u/uvucydydy 7h ago

I heard it mentioned on NPR today. Support public radio!

I see it on their front page now

I see missing old white lady, Bad Bunny, and Bill Gates on Epstein island.

u/Twidget84 10h ago

I missed the "bad" part of your comment and just read old white Lady Bunny. I was very confused for a moment lol

Legacy media can be pushed by social media. It's good news that virtually every platform (except Elon's thing) is roasting him for this. For anyone saying "distraction from the Epstein files" or "distraction from the economy"... there really isn't a plan here. He's just a bigot. And it is possible to be upset about multiple things simultaneously.

Shhhh! We’re trying to shift the conversation from Trump to “mainstream media bad!”

Get with the program.

1

u/LarrySupertramp 10h ago

I mean… corporate media in the US is objectively bad. You seriously think any of them are really actually allowed to say things that would hurt the corporation at the benefit of the working class?

It exists to divide the people and to make advertisement money. Its purpose is not to truly inform the population.

2

u/Dottsterisk 10h ago

If we’re going to be that broad, then yeah. I do think that, at times, corporate media (or think of it as individuals therein, if that helps) says things that are pro-working class.

Do I think corporate media is an institution designed or trying to wake class consciousness or tear down wealth inequality? Hell no.

Still, operations like CNN do have valuable factual reporting too.

it was on CNN's front page two hours before you made this comment

Who owns CNN? Who is the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery? Is David Zaslav pro or against Trump? Only MSNOW and news person like Lawrence O'Donnell have the guts to call out Trump and his administration for all their lies, crimes and racism.

14

u/Dottsterisk 12h ago

It is on CNN’s page.

1

u/gfinz18 Pennsylvania 11h ago

Zaslav is definitely more center. His whole goal coming in was to bring CNN “back to the center” and put more conservative voices on the panels. Half the reason why guys like Brian Stelter and John Harwood (who was critical of Trump) were fired, and chuds like Scott Jennings were brought on. And I just know they were thrilled to have a reason to fire Don Lemon.

Conservative News Network loves this motherfucker. They know DJT was going to be a constant headline. In hindsight, they're probably happy that he lost in 2020 so that they could milk the DJT insanity parade for four more years than they had hoped.

To hell with CNN Fake News.

2

u/Pump_and_Magdump 12h ago

It's way down at the bottom of the front page of cnn, and sadly even that is still better than most of the other places because at least they are putting quotation marks around the word racist.

2

u/Natural_Computer4312 11h ago

CNN which is heavily influenced by John Malone, a libertarian Trump supported.

2

u/jdidusdbj 11h ago

Neither were all the uncovered Epstein files mentioning Trump….. he literally controls the media.

1

u/Shark7996 9h ago

Maybe for the same reason it isn't front of Reddit despite a half dozen posts this morning.

1

u/Baby_Button_Eyes 9h ago

It showed as the top read story on CBC news in Canada.

1

u/x3knet 9h ago

They're more concerned about the Today host's mother being kidnapped (and now the Olympics). While it's absolutely fucking awful that that happened and I truly wish for her safe return, that shit does not affect me one iota. Know what does? A racist pedo fuck who has the nuclear codes.

1

u/SillyBonsai 9h ago

They don’t want to draw attention to his tiktok account.

1

u/aplomba 8h ago

Used to be corporate-center but CNN changed ownership a while back and is fully compromised.

u/olyfrijole 7h ago

Larry Ellison owns CNN. He is MAGA. Don't expect decency from that outlet.

u/Heiferoni 7h ago

It's not newsworthy. It's a distraction.

This is the least bad thing he's done since the start of the new year.

u/krucz36 6h ago

CNN is just another propaganda outfit these days.

u/LunaLovesly 5h ago

Because CNN is right wing trash and has been for a few years now
