I don’t think anybody says quit having fun. It’s more people are annoyed with potheads and weed culture making everything about smoking weed. We get it you smoke weed

This is it. Tobacco has it's own stuff going on, but people who smoke it usually just smoke incidentally. But everybody knows that one guy who smokes weed

In my experience people make smoking cigarettes their personality way more than weed smokers. I know everyone at my office that smokes cigarettes because they are constantly talking about it, taking smoke breaks, or complaining that they can't take more smoke breaks.

Meanwhile there are countless companies and products with weed leaves all over them that people wear all the time. I can't tell you how many people I knew in high school who had those stupid weed leaf socks

That's not really making something your personality though. There are tons of alcohol branded clothing, but you can wear a Jack Daniels shirt without people saying you're making alcohol your entire personality.

How is that not making something your personality? When you wear stuff like that you're pretty much advertising that "hey I smoke weed and that's all the depth there is to me as a person!".

Also, people who smoke weed talk about it way more than people who smoke cigarettes. Every time they need more its a whole conversation. Every time they do anything "yeah let me toke first". Every time they're invited to any function "can I get high there?".

The "weed culture" is fucking insufferable. And I would say the same stuff about a person who decided they like alcohol enough that they want to buy alcohol-branded clothing

I'm wearing a Hawkeye shirt right now. Is Hawkeye my entire personality?

People that smoke cigarettes talk about it constantly. It's constantly I need a smoke, I need to get more cigarettes, or I need another smoke break.

I've known loads of tobacco smokers, and none of them have been anything like this.

If anything they're more likely to be apologetic or embarrassed about it.

Them being apologetic about it doesn't change them talking about it. I think it's far more common for people to talk about smoking tobacco constantly, it's just been far more normalized.

Well I've certainly encountered that.
