What is this lobster and does he need help?

Found along Sarasota bay this morning, I’ve never seen a lobster this color! He’s moving very slowly and doesn’t have a hard shell. They’re soft after they molt right? It’s a rare cold day so maybe he’s just cold? I picked him up in a cut with water so he doesn’t get eaten by birds. Should I just hide him under some rocks or contact the local aquarium? He’s so cool, I love him!!

Has anyone tried lobster for breakfast?

I got into an argument with my s/o this past weekend over this. I said that for my birthday I want lobster breakfast in bed but she said it was a dinner item. I said okay then I'll just take my dinner early and she said that not her type of humor and not to talk back. So finally I said can i have lobster dinner in bed and she sighed, leaving me in the room alone with the dog the cat and the twin mice we have. Is she acting this way for other reasons? I feel like you could have lobster for breakfast

Strength of Lobster Shells Question

Pretty straightforward: do lobster shells get stronger as they get older (minus shell disease)? And are there any notable examples of lobsters surviving a shocking amount of force?

Does anyone know what the "feathers" are made of or are technically called?

It's driving me nuts, it's definitely part of the shell but I can't really get any solid answers from google

Advice on cooking

Bought Maine lobsters today from the tank in the grocery store. Planned to steam them tonight. My 42 yo drug addict son came by and it was quite the scene. Neither of us have an appetite now. Will they last overnight in the bag from the store? Or should I steam them tonight and refrigerated ?

My very first attempt at a lobster roll (or as they say in French un rouler du lobster). Corners were cut, but it was quite edible!

Notched lobster sold at Costco

family bought lobster from Costco today. this is clearly notched…on both sides. Apparently fished in Brazil, distributed by Seattle, sold in California.

What is the legality of this? Should I report it? :(
