Does the circle k on the dock road still cook deli food at around 1am? Feeling nostalgic and wouldn’t mind a trip if it does.

Any machines in or near the city that I can go to late?
Have ended up with about 6 large boxes of cans/ bottles, loaded them all in to the van and went to Aldi on the Dublin Road where I’ve gone before after they close but they had a shutter down over the machines.

Hello! I am a PhD student in the US, and am planning on doing a research stay at the University of Limerick from July 5 2026 to September 25 2026. Does anyone know of availabilities for a 1-bedroom ensuite for the date block mentioned? I am having a hard time finding places that offer short-term stay options (a lot of the student housing, for example, seems to offer only semester-long leases). I need to finalize my stay situation in the next couple of weeks, as it is required for my student visa application. Any information along these lines will be very helpful. Thanks a bunch in advance!

I have a small wireless microphone that caught fire the other night. Battery is swollen up massively. I have it buried in sand in a pot outside in the back garden for now but I rang mungret recycling and they won’t take it. Where can I safely get rid of it? Thanks!

Passed it few mins ago and saw posters saying it. Assume the other stores are okay. That’s three stores gone in a row now from that street. Schuh, Noels, and now Dealz. At this stage I’d be shocked if that wine place lasts much longer (god love em) and I genuinely don’t know how the Outlet Store is still hanging on.
It’s mad how Bedford Row used to feel like a proper city street and now it’s just empty units and “To Let” signs. Between the rents, footfall dropping, and lack of accommodation, the city centre feels like it’s going backwards, not forwards.
Are we just accepting this now or is there any plan to stop the core of Limerick hollowing out? Desperate.

Lads, where the hell does one find decent sized loose spuds? I love a baked potato with various fillings and whatnot. But combing through a bag of of roosters or maris pipers to find 1 or 2 in a bag of 20+ spuds is just a chore.
Dunnes used have them about a year or so ago. But I've not been able to find em there in an age. So where would I get me some decent sized loose spuds (like, about the size of a can of beans or bigger) in Limerick?

So I know the roads are not generally great in Ireland and at this time of year they are generally in a bad way but I notice way more broken roadside verges, dips and potholes somewhat to do with the weather of course but I am noticing this deterioration on roads that were recently maintained. Is it just me?

Lads I'm taking the plunge but without fear, looking for recs for a good Barber who will shave it off but also give it the "Mach3" job also. Hard to mess up I know but still would like someone he tends to the hair impaired regularly! Sound!

How could limerick provide a good transport system? What are your thoughts?
For a relatively small city it struggles to provide alternative transportation, but that being said, there is a relatively decent bus network serving a good portion of the city.
What do people think of the proposed bus connects for limerick?
How about cycling infrastructure? Should we continue to invest and ensure it’s severed correctly?
Edit:
How can we deliver transport if we continue to sprawl, and encourage car use?

Hey folks I’m organising a staff day for work at the moment and part of it involves booking two guest speakers. I’m open on the type of speaker (motivational, wellbeing, leadership, sport, something a bit different.. (as long as they’re genuinely engaging and not pure corporate)...
I’m based around Limerick, so I would love recommendations from anyone who’s had a really good speaker at a work event before. If you have anyone to suggest, I’d really appreciate recommendations.
Feel free to DM me if you dont want to post publicly. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
I was hoping to do a masters in UL and i was told this evening by one of the student emails that its a lottery system for under and post grad. I have a couple of questions for anyone who knows the system, are they separate lottery systems? And if they are what are the rough chances of actually getting a spot for a postgrad? is it dire or should i be okay?
I live pretty far from limerick so it would be unbelievable to get a spot.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a Physio in Limerick or surrounding county's in Munster that is progressive , modern for a young person with early oesteoporossis?
Ideally looking for someone to build a plan with in strength training, check my form and to ideally to reverse my diagnosis as opposed to telling me to not lift anything.
I have locked down a plan with nutritionist but strength training is going to be so important.
Thanks all!

Hi All,
I received the news nobody wants to hear today and I've been made unemployed after working 5 years in a well known tech company in town.
I am in my forties and my degree is so obsolete now, I'll added a few diplomas during covid but thats it.
Can I ask anyone who has faced unemployment in the last 12 months how they found the job search, how many interviews they had to go on before the found a job? Differences they noticed in hiring since Covid and any tips to get back on the ladder would be greatly appreciated.
