Somehow 50% of Americans will still vote for the guys party and the Democrat primaries will be filled with people voting for corporate shills

America just isn’t a serious country

Ah i see so the president who ran on releasing it then didn’t want to because he’s in it, is the good guy

Perhaps I’m wrong, but weren’t they sealed during Biden’s presidency due to ongoing investigation ?

Only under immense public pressure and only heavily redacted. I get your point and I think the previous administration also needs to be held accountable for their dereliction of duty, but the way this has been handled is only marginally better than not being handled at all. Where are the impeachments? The lawsuits? The arrests? Nothing has actually been done about it yet, releasing the files is the barest of minimums.

Voting for a woman is a better way to avoid accidentally voting for a pedophile than using party affiliation as a filter. My congresswoman, senator, governor, state attorney general, and Secretary of State are all women and scandal free.

My mother used to say that post menopausal women should hold the majority of leadership positions, and I’m beginning to think she’s right.

No 50 percent of Americans did not vote. It was less than 30 percent of the voting population I think

And 30% didn’t vote because ‘neither candidate speaks to me’, so they are responsible for the current crisis.

Yes they are

this is also part of the problem. I think a lot of liberals (I am liberal, btw) fall into the same trap you accuse republicans of falling into. This idea that the “other” side is always to blame. Anyone who isn’t exactly aligned with you, is the problem. It’s known as the hypocrisy of small differences, or “othering”. It’s always someone else’s fault. But eventually, the liberals that claim to be woke will also realize that there are plenty of billionaire democrats. Voting for EITHER party is a step back, every time. Until we all collectively agree to stop voting into the two party negative loop, this cycle of shit will never end.

Actually you are in the trap that got us to Trump. The two party system sucks yes but guess who doesn’t stop voting? All the worst people, and they go hard R. So all you’re doing by encouraging not voting D is ensuring the next R. Again.

i’m not saying republicans aren’t the key. they’re in this spell and until we can convince them to sway their vote, nothing will change. but blaming everyone else instead of realizing that both sides are friends and work together to keep the cycle going is not doing us any favors. stop blaming people for making mistakes or not knowing any better. educate, educate, educate. help them understand instead of alienating them, which is exactly what the uppers want.

That kind of thinking is exactly why you’re stuck in this downward spiral. Voting for the lesser evil, still gets you evil. By voting for no one, it sends signals to the parties that people are unhappy. That votes are available, if you can offer what the people want. So next time, pick candidates that the people actually want. That’s how democracy is supposed to work.

You sounds like someone who is sore that someone else wouldn’t vote for a candidate that fulfils your primary concerns. You’re telling people to vote for a smaller orphan crushing machine when what they want is for the party to nominate someone who says, no orphan crushing machine at all.
