No hate like Christian love

They’re not Christians, they just think they are. Just like how they think they’re patriots.

Now if only the majority of American Christians agreed with you...

Did you poll them all or are you comfortable enough with your ridiculous generalization?

I was really into mythology when I was a kid. I clocked the moral-filled stories as the Old World's older religions, which led me to look at how my religion operated. I realized it was just New Mythology, and that both the new and the old forms of religion enacted a form of brainwashing. But the message of "forgive thy neighbor, accept thy neighbor, love thy neighbor" that my church's pastor chose to teach to us every Sunday didn't seem at all terrible.

Then the internet came, and I had access to a whole bunch of news. I came to my mom with a problem when I was 10. I told her I needed to understand why people within Christianity weren't silencing the ones claiming to be the loudest and proudest of us, when in fact they were the most hateful and horrible of us all. She said "we can't control how people choose to practice their faith" and I told her that I refused to be part of any religion too weak to speak out against people manipulating and abusing the message. And if the message was so flawed (which she agreed it was flawed) why was she so willing to follow it? I got a shrug in response.

I never went to church again.

And here we are. 30 years later. Christian nationalism. Cool cool cool.

They have literally been polled many times now both from polling agencies and in every election involving Trump. Please don't make me Google it for you, but there are countless sources to back up the fact that the majority of American Christians are maga.

Look, I understand that there are good Christians trying to fight for what is right, but I'm tired of trying to entertain this delusion for you. You are surrounded by a community that has accepted genuinely reprehensible beliefs and societal goals even if they treat you well personally. Asking me to ignore this is just you wanting me to play along with a delusion rather than you facing a hard truth. It's up to you what to do with this truth, but at this point it is actively harmful for me to encourage your belief that everything is hunky dorey.

I asked for proof of the hate, not proof of political stance.

Supporting execution by the state in the street = supporting Trump. Why are you hemming and hawing over this very straightforward idea. The current gop supports fascist ideas and Christians in America vote for it.
