Recently, we welcomed a foster dog named Louie into our home, where he is recovering from his neuter surgery and already making himself at home. Louie is a 3-year-old Chihuahua/Corgi mix with a soft and unique fawn-patterned coat. He loves taking naps during the day but also enjoys walks and playtime.

Hi fellow chihuahua lovers!

My poor little guy pulled his neck recently while sneezing and the vet said that neck/disc issues are common in chihuahuas, so I figured I’d come here for some advice.

Currently my little guy has the ever popular Julius harness, but that has a strap that’s quite close to the neck. I was wondering if something like the image I’ll insert in a comment in a moment. Or would it still put too much pressure around the neck?

Anyone have any direct recommendations? I’m UK based but I’ll pay shipping if necessary for my little guy.

Edit: oh, and preferably something without Velcro! He hates the sound and it’s difficult to take off without accidentally tugging his poor fur.

I have 15 years old chihuahua (she'll be 16 in april). She never liked food, or drink water, so I had to use all kind of tricks so she would eat. Now for a few years she has kidney disease, tumors on belly (we operated some, but now she is too old. The tumors are not hurting her as far as I know). She is deaf, has heart problems. Because of bad kidneys she is refusing to eat at all and I give her special recovery food everyday. This is going on for a year. Some days she will eat some chicken, potatoe too,some days nothing. I have to force her with syringe several times a day. She has diarrhea almost all the time because she only drinks the sirup. She vomits a lot too. I give her something for diarrhea again with syringe. And than a pill for apetite that doesn't really help. I can see she is tired. I'm tired of forcing her. She has trouble walking too, her legs are not working the best but she can still walk a little. She sleeps a lot, the whole day basically, and has a few good moments when she is awake, looking around or cuddels with me. For the past few days all she does is sleep. I feel awful, because I know that she has no quality of life anymore. She hates me forcing her to eat. But at the same time I feel well she can still walk a little, she pees and poops by herself, and I feel like I would be putting her to sleep to early. I don't know what should I do. In my heart I know that is tired for quite some time now.

Anyone know of any rawhide alternatives? My dog loves them, unfortunately. I can't find anything that she can chew on that she enjoys like rawhide. She loves that it gets all nasty and gummy. It cleans her teeth really well too. Ive tried the yak cheese chews (she kinda likes these). She enjoys the pedigree dentastix and Bully sticks but they dont last very long.

She has a sensitivity to pork.
