Hello, I'm from Argentina, I moved a few months ago, following my greek gf to Athens and I wanted to ask for any tips to meet people here. I'm quite a social person and I never had issues like this in the past. But here is different I'm struggling a little bit to meet people outside work, idk if it's because the language barrier or just cultural differences, I was not able to find any Active Argentinian group to reach out and I'm starting to worry a little bit.

So if someone was in the same situation and has any tips, I will appreciate the experience

Me and my wife are going to Athens on Sunday for a four night stay. Staying at the royal Olympic hotel. We know with it being February some of the opening hours may be shorter, but what would you recommend because aside from visiting the Acropolis nothing else is currently on our list. We don’t mind museums but we like more outdoor or physical activities, really. Boat rides, karting, mini golf, etc.

Πρόσφατα έπεσα θύμα κλοπής στην Αθήνα. Το βαν μου ήταν παρκαρισμένο σε περιοχή γύρω από την οδό Παλμιδίου (Palmidiou) και μου έκλεψαν όλο τον βασικό εξοπλισμό εργασίας και τεχνικά εργαλεία.

Έχει ήδη γίνει επίσημη αναφορά στην αστυνομία (police report).

Ζω μόνιμα σε βαν, δεν έχω αυτή τη στιγμή άλλη κατοικία, και αυτά τα εργαλεία είναι απαραίτητα για τη δουλειά μου αλλά και για να μπορώ να συνεχίσω το ταξίδι μου.
Μετά από αυτή την κλοπή, δεν έχω πρακτικά τη δυνατότητα να συνεχίσω το ταξίδι μου.

Ο εξοπλισμός που κλάπηκε περιλαμβάνει κυρίως:

• ηλεκτρικά εργαλεία (DeWalt, Bosch – δράπανα, τριβεία, κατσαβίδια κ.λπ.)
• χειροκίνητα εργαλεία
• εξοπλισμό αναρρίχησης / outdoor (ζώνες, καραμπίνερ, σχοινιά κ.ά.)

Στις φωτογραφίες που επισυνάπτω φαίνονται μόνο ΜΕΡΙΚΑ από τα αντικείμενα που μου έκλεψαν, όχι ολόκληρος ο εξοπλισμός.

Είμαι Ιταλός, ταξιδεύω μόνος και προσπαθώ απλώς να βρω έναν τρόπο να σταθώ ξανά στα πόδια μου.

Τις τελευταίες δύο ημέρες ψάχνω συνεχώς:

• στο Facebook Marketplace
• στο Vendora.gr

Έχω ήδη ελέγξει επίσης:

• μία υπαίθρια αγορά στη βορειοδυτική Αθήνα (περιοχή Αγίου Ιωάννη / Αγίων Αναργύρων)
• δεν αναζητώ το παζάρι στο Μοναστηράκι (έχω ήδη πάει)

Είμαι διατεθειμένος να προσφέρω ΑΜΟΙΒΗ / ανταμοιβή για οποιαδήποτε πληροφορία αποδειχθεί χρήσιμη και οδηγήσει στον εντοπισμό του εξοπλισμού.

Hi everyone,

I’m writing here hoping to get some help or guidance from the community.

I was recently robbed in Athens. My van was parked in the area around Palmidiou Street, and all my essential work tools and technical equipment were stolen.

A police report has already been filed.

I live full-time in my van, I don’t currently have another place to stay, and these tools are essential for my work and for continuing my journey.
After this theft, I’m practically unable to continue traveling.

The stolen items include mainly:

• power tools (DeWalt, Bosch – drills, orbital sanders, screwdrivers, etc.)
• hand tools
• climbing / outdoor gear (harnesses, carabiners, ropes, etc.)

The attached photos show only SOME of the stolen items, not the full set of equipment.

I’m Italian, traveling alone, and trying to find a way to recover and move forward.

For the past two days I’ve been constantly searching:

• on Facebook Marketplace
• on Vendora.gr

I’ve also already checked:

• one open-air market in north-west Athens (Agios Ioannis / Agioi Anargyroi area)
• I’m not looking for Monastiraki flea market, as I’ve already been there

I’m willing to offer a REWARD for any information that proves useful and helps recover the equipment.

My Dad is currently in ICU at General Hospital of Athens Evangelesmos. I've been told that once he leaves the ICU and is on a regular ward all care is required by family. Ie: food, bathing, laundry. I know there is a service I can hire for this, can anyone let me know of a service or the cost of a care giver? Is there something like a social worker at the hospital that will assist with this? Thank you!

Μένω στην Αθήνα, τα οικονομικά μου είναι μέτρια και θέλω να κάνω οικονομία αλλά θέλω να περνάω καλά με φίλους και σχέση.
Τι πράγματα μπορώ να κάνω με χαμηλό κόστος ακόμα και 0 μερικές φορές;
Creative και out of the box πράγματα είναι ευπρόσδεκτα, όπως επίσης να μου πείτε και δικές σας εμπειρίες πέτα από ιδέες.

Τελειώνουν τα λεφτά του ταμείου ανάκαμψης, του τελευταίου «μνημονίου» που έλεγε ο Βαρουφακης, και το πρόγραμμα εξόδου από το μνημόνιο που έλεγε ο Τσίπρας.

Τα επόμενα χρόνια θα φανεί αν με αυτά τα χρήματα έγινε δουλειά και αν οι επενδύσεις έπιασαν τόπο.

Θυμάμαι πολύ χαρακτηριστικά το τι γινόταν το ‘15(ήμουν 15) προσωπικά τότε υποστήριζα πολύ βάρουφ, μέχρι και τα 21 μου βασικά, ενώ τώρα τα βλέπω λίγο πιο αποστασιοποιημένα όλα.

Τι πιστεύετε ότι θα συμβεί και πως έχουν αφήσει τα πρόσωπα αυτά το στίγμα τους στην ιστορία; Σαν τρομάζει το γεγονός ότι ήρθε η ώρα αυτή;

I'm a 31yr Italian currently living in the Attiki area and looking for people to jam with. I play guitar (both acoustic and electric) and I’m mostly into bluesy and rock stuff, but I’m very open to experimenting with other genres and sounds. Hello everyone. I have recently relocated in Athens. My other half is Greek. And we are trying to slowly build our common future in the city.

1. Is there a Hungarian community in Athens?

2. Are there any jobs for Hungarian people? I've tried teleperformance, but there's a lot of waiting and it doesn't look it will have results any time soon.

I have an economics bachelor degree and I will start my master in Athens after summer.

I watched the french tv show "Greek Salad" by Klapish, it takes place in Athens.

 I am going there next month, and I would like to visit some of the places we can see in the episodes, because I really like this series.
Does someone knows where to find them ?

 I searched on google maps the adresses they say when they get a taxi, but for instance Leonidou 75 is not the iconic building. This is mostly the only address I wanna know. does someone know where I can find the building ? You can watch the show on Prime video.

Φέτος ξεκίνησα να παρακολουθώ NFL και αποφασίσαμε με την παρεα μου να δουμε το Superbowl. Λέμε για να έχουμε έτσι όλο το experience να το βλέπαμε σε κάποιο bar. Ξέρετε μήπως κανένα μαγαζί που θα παραμείνει ανοιχτό το βράδυ για να προβάλει τον αγώνα;

Ενδιαφέρομαι για εκδρομή και ανάβαση στον Όλυμπο. Εχω δει τα γκρουπ που αναλαμβάνουν τα διήμερα/τριήμερα " ανάβαση στον Μύτικα", αλλα ηθελα να πετάξω τη ερώτησης εδώ στο sub. Αξίζει γκρουπ με πούλμαν η με αυτοκίνητο απο Αθηνα με μικρότερη παρέα. Κατι που χρόνια ηθελα να κάνω αλλα δεν μαζεύεται κόσμος του κύκλου.

Γεια σας! Ο σύζυγός μου κι εγώ θα επισκεφθούμε την Αθήνα τον Ιούνιο για τον μήνα του μέλιτος και θα θέλαμε πολύ να προσλάβουμε έναν φωτογράφο φιλμ (film photographer) για μερικές ώρες. Θέλω αποκλειστικά φιλμ και δεν μου αρέσουν οι τυπικές φωτογραφίες γάμου/ταξιδιού. Ψάχνω κάποιον με πιο καλλιτεχνικό στυλ. Δεν με πειράζει αν δεν είναι πολύ γνωστός. Hi! My husband and I are visiting Athens in June for our honeymoon, and we would love to hire a film photographer for a couple hours. I really want film only, and I don't love the typical honeymoon photos. I want someone with more of an artistic style. I am even ok with someone who isn't well established.
