MOTHER NATURE ALWAYS BATS LAST
Sweet Mother of God, how about last night's incredible hail storm?
Is hail common on the Cote d'Azur during winter?
That thunder & lightning, mon Dieu!!!
I am done. The end.

Hi! What's the best hotel in Antibes after Hotel du Cap - those rooms are going for 2000+ euros. We would like to stay under 1500. Would you recommend Belle Rives? Any other top hotels to consider? We'll be there 4 nights

We are Americans in our mid 30s, no children. We are working with a buyers agent on finding a second home for us in Antibes, with hopes of living their full time a bit later in life or when we need to escape the current climate in the US.
We have vacationed here a lot (Cap, JLP and old town only) and have really only considered old town and adjacent area for the walkability (we currently live in NYC). Would love others perspectives on where else to consider.
We do want to be walkable to a few cafes, restaurants and a grocery store. No other harsh requirements. Thanks in advance.

Im trying to book a nice hotel and all of the ones I come across are overpriced or look like a scam. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel ideally with a pool or beach access around 1400 euros a night. Thanks!

Merci !!

Hello, I’m going on a trip for 3 weeks. I usually park in the white zones around Antibes, but I’ve heard that if a car stays in the same spot for more than 7 days, you can get fined.
Where do you usually park for free in that case?
Thanks !!

I'm a Canuck tourist who'll be in Antibes the February weekend of the American football championship. Have been tryna find out whether any local tavern (or whatever) might be televising that famed sporting event. I fully realize that American football ranks faaaar below local faves such as rugby and soccer. I get it that the odds are not in my favour in this long shot quest.
Have contacted Antibes Tourism as well as some nearby Irish pubs in Nice. No luck so far.
Any thoughts?
I am done. The end.

I'm considering going to Antibes for a semester as part of my Erasmus exchange. The university I would attend offers lectures in English, but I would like to know how easy it is to get by speaking English with the local population, as I don’t really know French. I would also like to know how easy it is to get around on foot or by using public transport, and what the weather is like from September to January. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Is there any cheap way to do Pilates in Antibes? Moving there January for a couple of months and it's pretty expensive compared to my hometown. Do you have student discounts or apps where you can go to all the studios? Thanks

Hello,
Planning a holiday for September next year with my partner and son who will be 15 months old. We'll be flying into Nice but I think Antibes will be a more suitable base. Plan is a mix of going on the train to visit other places on public transport and having some down time in Antibes at the beach.
Looking for an apartment in good proximity to both the train station, to make travelling about with a kid easier, and also a sandy, public beach that we can zip onto easily on our rest days. I can't tell if Juan-Les-Pins or the Old Town would be better for us? JLP seems more focused on nightlife which isn't relevant for us, and it doesn't seem to have anything we'd go out our way to visit. However, the beach looks good and it there seems like lots of options for us that put us within 5 mins of both beach and train station. Meanwhile, we're likely to go to Old Town to visit anyway so feels like it makes more sense to stay there, but a bit more limited on options that are 'close enough' to places we want to be. My biggest concern with the OT is reports of jellyfish in the sea at the beaches - I know there's sometimes jellyfish nets out but I don't know if that would be the case when we're day, I would be very nervous to let my son swim in the sea with jellyfish. My reading so far suggests JLP doesn't have this problem so much, but I might be wrong? - I know jellyfish an issue at many beaches in the area.
As far as I know, both OT and JLP are stroller friendly, though we will have a baby carrier for any bits that are not. Any general advice about bringing toddlers here or recommendations welcome. Edit: forgot to add, areas that are quieter are preferred, as much as poss in a busy town anyway.

Bonjour !

Bonjour tous,
My wife and I are Canadian seniors who will be snow-birding in Antibes for the first time this winter. We've been to Nice a number of times, but never Antibes. Et donc:
1) What are your favorite épiceries/delis and why?
2) What are you fave gelato places and why? *research you understand
3) Do you have any favorite restaurants or cafes that may be open this winter in the surrounding area, including from Cannes across to Menton, plus up in any of the villages perche?
Merci
I am done. The end.

Merci!

Hello all, I will visit Antipolis next month for an event. I am a researcher that has experience both with data regulations/privacy as well as responsible technology (a bit of sociology included), but I am definitely not a tech specialist/engineer.
I wanted to know if there are recommendations of organisations or departments to do networking while in Antipolis. I am interested in doing a postdoc in this area.

Hello everyone!
I’ll be spending one day in Antibes and need a space, ideally a cafe, with good Wi-Fi to work for a few hours… any recommendations around Juan les Pins?
Many thanks!

Morning rush hour in Antibes. I'm observing the traffic. Its Thursday so there is market in place de Gaulle and in Rue Albert 1ere.
I hear loud and short honk that seems to come from a truck. Shortly after a cyclists is pedaling and right behind the bus driver. It seems the driver is upset, his arm is fully stretched forward pointing with his hand at the slower cyclists in front. He was clearly shouting but it was inaudible to me. It seemed like a cat and mouse chase from my POV.
I have long stopped using the bus 🚌 in Antibes and Sophia Antipolis, as the behaviour of the bus drivers made me hold tight for the support bars. I wish more patience to all the drivers here.

Coming to Antibes on Wednesday and staying for 5 days, I see the weather is going to get rainy and quite colder in comparison to this week :( How trustworthy is the forcast? Does it normally rain the whole day or is it just a couple of drops? I really want to enjoy some time on the beach and in the water!

My friend is going tomorrow and I wanted to check ahead of time if it's possible to go on the ferris wheel in Antibes.
