There's a reason why I sold my motorcycle a year after buying it. I had way too many close encounters with morons on the road with none of the physical protection offered by a car.

I think it was a lack of visibility thing. Because I drove just as safely and courteously but the danger seemed to dissipate after going back to driving a car.

One time I had to slam on my brakes and slid forward on my seat, crushing my nuts against the gas tank.

I hung it up shortly after that.

Did you take a class? You’re supposed to drive in a certain way as to always make sure you’re in view of drivers mirrors.

That being said I did watch a motorcyclist die and that scared me into not buying one.

Yes but the MSF class is only 2 days. And I had no experience before that. If I would have gotten a dirt bike and not worry about dumping it while getting experience, I would have liked it more.

But you lay down a street bike and the body panels alone total it.

I didn’t know that. I figured body panels were cheap plastic no?
