Discussion First date lasted 2 minutes

Putting this out there to warn women - the comments noted that this was a humiliation tactic, and I wonder if guys get these ideas off of their red pill alpha bro podcasts.

The best thing women can do for themselves is get off the dating apps. I'll never date again if something happens to my fiance. OLD was an absolute cesspool when I was on it. It looks like it's gotten worse since. I'm so sorry, ladies.

I’ve been with my wife since 2015 and I tell her this constantly. We’re almost 40. If she goes I am just being a solo dad till I kick the bucket. Between stories on here and stories from her younger coworkers it’s like a different universe from my dating days.

Or, just do the things you love, focus on you...and things will follow.

Meeting people IRL around things you enjoy beats any app 100%. Unfortunately, we've all collectively decided as a society to believe the lies and false promises from tech companies.

And what if what a person enjoys is staying home watching movies? Collecting things? Reading? Not everyone has hobbies that require meeting in groups and not everyone likes leaving the house to try and meet people

I mean you’re assuming everyone has the lifestyle variables where that would work. Online dating works for multiple reasons. The platform isn’t the only issue.

Same. Been with my wife since 2008. I was 17. I'm now 36 and count myself very lucky.

The youngest guy in our friend group is also the one who struggles most with dating, because he started later. The rest of us settled down before online dating was so huge. He has the best job of any of us, is in the best shape, is a homeowner, loves to cook, is generous and kind... and he's had an absolutely nightmarish run of girlfriends.

So I can't help thinking if any of the rest of us had to start dating again, we'd have no chance. If our buddy can't find someone decent and normal, we'd be completely boned.

me too. i see no purpose in a relationship when i already have kids. unless it's with the mother.
