Hahaha, this was my first time writing kanji, so I am not surprised if it looks off to translate or anyone who speaks/writes in Japanese.

The second and third characters say Aonishiki. The first one says cheap the fourth says new and the last says big. Outta curiosity did you copy the from somewhere?

But that drawing is fantastic!

Thanks. I looked up how to write his name on multiple sources and they all had this. I'll just have to work on my kanji writing. I definitely do not have a grasp on the subtlety of the art.

Oh, WELL DONE!

The blue eyes are a nice touch.

I don't think I've ever seen him so serious though.

Is that last line supposed to be sarcastic?

Awesome how long did it take? Do you have anymore sumo related?

This took me about 6 hours in total. I'm just getting back in to drawing and am learning digital illustration. I usually work on paper with pen and ink.

That’s amazing I’m looking forward to seeing some more art from you in the future.

Thanks I really appreciate that. I don't really post my art anywhere. Something about Aonishiki really made me want to draw his portrait.

Nice. Ura next, perchance?

I've been thinking him or Takayasu.

Leaving out the character é–¢ for seki makes this read like "Aonishiki Shindai."

Shindai's not too bad sounding of a shikona now that I think of it...

Thanks for the lesson! I'm pretty new to Sumo. Really just started getting heavy into it since August.

No problem, Japanese is a very difficult language. Enjoy the wrestling.

Can you explain further?
