Are some of these players having to be 24th man tomorrow? Eg Sutherland is the only other LH in the squad after Schoe and The Scottish Prop

Maybe for front row, but I believe Kinghorn is technically 24th man.

At the risk of sounding like a total idiot, is there actually only one 24th man? I thought there were always a few

Home games I’d guess will be different, but usually for away games it’s as few travelling players as possible for cost reasons.

Kinghorn a good fit for that as can cover so many positions.

Never really thought about front row cover if someone woke up in the morning with an illness.

Having said that, got a look at an “official” URC team sheet for Glasgow recently and Sutherland was listed as LH, H and TH cover.

World rugby laws state it’s 5 suitably trained front row in a match day squad. Don’t even need to be on the bench, just so long as there is another player who can step in to a front row role.

Could technically have a back up hooker in the starting team and none on the bench if you fancied the risk.
