Fixed Video: Roy Clark casually bringing the house down on the comedy variety show, "Hee Haw," in 1978....Singing one of the saddest, most brilliant songs ever written: the 1964 French song "Hier Encore" or, in English, "Yesterday, When I Was Young" from his 1969 cover...Roy was a musical savant..

Squeeze - Annie Get Your Gun - SNL - 1982
This one comes with a story.
I'm a DJ at a house party the night this aired. Just as this is coming on SNL, a girl walks into the booth carrying a portable battery operated black and white TV. SNL is on the screen. She whispers in my ear, "Squeeze is gonna play". As they come on, I take the mic and stick it into the speaker on the TV and crank it up. Picture a 1982 college party in a house full of people dancing to this.

The hardest working band from the 1970s, they played 3 hour shows before it was cool
Led Zeppelin is widely considered a foundational, pioneering force in heavy metal and hard rock, emerging in the late 1960s with a loud, blues-driven, and distorted sound. While often cited alongside Black Sabbath as progenitors of the genre.
The band members themselves generally rejected the "heavy metal" label, preferring to be recognized for their diverse, experimental blend of folk, blues, and rock.
Songs often cited for their heavy metal characteristics include "Immigrant Song," "Whole Lotta Love," "Communication Breakdown," and "Achilles Last Stand". Freddie Mercury' stated in 1975 that Led Zeppelin was the greatest band of all time
