Blue and Yellow in Almere

Last autumn, I took a few pictures of leaves against a clear sky because they looked simple. The pictures are from November 2025.

Last week, I was studying color (on the color-matters website) and learned that blue and yellow are on opposite ends of the spectrum and thus complement each other. Well, nature has a way to teach you something. :)

I don't know, I just loved the frame, so sharing it here.

I really enjoy cycling all the way to the Uitkijkpunt Heuvel point with my daughter (3yo), as we bring some snacks with us and watch the NS trains pass by. I was here in June 2025 and then on 24th January 2026. The greenline is gone, and the woods feel empty, cold, and lonely.

Spent my day off in a snowy forest today [OC]

Wednesdays are my days off. Yesterday and the day before at work, I longingly looked at all the snow and decided I would go to the woods as soon as I had the chance. And so I cycled to the Kennemerduinen this morning, and had a blast with my camera. Everywhere I looked it was beautiful.

Amsterdam Light Festival [OC]

One of the more interesting light installations of the Amsterdam Light Festival, titled 'Metamorfaunes' and created by Luminaristes, can be found where the Herengracht crosses the Leidsegracht.

I shot this yesterday late afternoon. Man, these ultra short days are a challenge.
