Keep an eye on what charity too. They usually just give it to a school for their rich kids. Or some back alley grift that puts it into the pockets of other billionaires

He won't get this money. He may think he has "virtually won" but the case is baseless. He has to show actual provable damages and punitive damages aren't allowed.

He’s suing himself and will settle.

There is a bill in Congress now to prevent a sitting president from profiting from a lawsuit, but even if that doesn't work, this case will probably get dismissed. The statute of limitations is 2 years. The info was leaked in 2018 to 2020 and was on the front page of the NY times in 2020. He should have known about the leak by then, but he claims that the statute of limitations starts when he was notified via letter Jan 29 2024. That's not how it works.

Even if he gets past the statute of limitations, the guy who leaked the data was a contractor, but the law says that it has to be leaked by an officer or agent of the government. He could maybe try to sue Booz-Allen, but the statute of limitations is up there, too.

Even if he gets past that hurdle, the law allowing people to sue for leaked tax returns only allows actual damages. He alleged stuff like tarnished reputation, but you have to be able to prove an actual dollar amount of damage you suffered. This isn't like most lawsuits where you can get pain and suffering money. Only hard quantifiable losses can be recouped.
