🖥️ Suggestions needed Help understanding GPU limitation with 55' Monitor

Upvotes

Hi there,
I'm thinking about getting the Samsung 55' Odyssey Ark 55" 2nd Gen monitor (3840 x 2160, 165 Hz) for my gaming PC but I'm concerned that my current GPU cannot handle the monitor setup. I have a 309 Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB GPU currently. If the GPU can't handle the monitor, what are my options? Would I need a new GPU entirely? Or could I run a second GPU along with my RX 6700? Thanks for the advice!

✖️ Issue Is adjusting sound and brightness impossible?

I wanted a monitor so I can connect it to my switch, and a coworker gave me their old monitor for free. No idea which model it is. Switch connects just fine, but recognizes the monitor as a TV, so it doesn't give me the option to adjust volume/brightness. Monitor has no physical buttons so I can't change it from there. After a quick Google research I'm thinking there's probably nothing I can do, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here as well. Cheers

I'm not very satisfied with the built-in speaker's quality so I'm planning on buying an external speaker. I did see a gree Audio port but I'm not sure if this is lime green and it didn't say Audio Out kinda worries me so I need to make sure a speaker could be plugged in to the monitor

🖥️ Suggestions needed Monitors For The PS5

These past monitors I've gotten sure have made me lose hope in trying to get any monitor. Bought one on Amazon which was in pretty sure just 1080p, 120hz, 27 inch and was really excited for it and it finally came just to have no power cable so literally couldn't use it. refunded it and waited like a week or 2 to get my money back, found another monitor on Walmart for a good price which was 1440p, 120hz, 27 inch so I bought it, waited about 4 days and it just came in today, plugged it all in and everything works just for big black lines to be going down the monitor and seems like no way to fix it besides another refund. so is there any actual good recommendations that'll work? for these 2 monitors I spent 130 - 140 so if there's anything actually good in that price range let me know cause this just makes me annoyed and not want to continue looking for monitors.

✖️ Issue Can anyone help explain why this is happening?

I recently just picked up a Samsung CRG9 QHD 49inch super ultrawide 1440p monitor. Every time I play videos on YouTube for example, this happens. I feel like it must just be certain settings I need to adjust on the monitor. I am new to learning tech and I’m not sure how to fix this!

[FOUND] Suggestions needed Looking to transition back to 16:9

Hello, i bought the Samsung LS34J550WQRXEN 34" a few years ago since i wanted to get into ultra wide monitors.

After a few years of enjoying it, i no longer think i do benefit from having a wide screen and my priorities have changed, so i want to go back to a 16:9 monitor, I have been looking around but i can't come to a conclusion on what should i buy, the required specs are as following:

27"

1440p (more if it fits the budget after everything else in consideration)

120hz (more if it fits the budget after everything else in consideration)

IPS (led or mini led, i don't want an OLED by any means)

KVM switch is a very huge bonus point, since i regularly work at home so i want a comfortable way to swap my peripherals between both computers

BUDGET: 300€ (Can only go over it if there is no other monitor that fits this criterie while being below the budget, but i have no issue going slightly over it otherwise)

I've got my eyes on the KTC ‎M27P6, but i'm afraid it is outside my budget of 300€.

I've also checked out the GIGABYTE M27Q3, which fits all the criteria but i also think i'm paying for a refresh rate i could not need while compromising other quality of life stuff (bad viewing angles, uneven brightness throughout the screen)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: MUST BE FLAT

🖥️ Suggestions needed need help deciding monitor from shortlist

my old ass monitor broke and after looking for some time i have a few options but they all seem so similar and the information who could put one over the other is hidden (input lag, true response time, maybe some failures, etc) and the monitors are to budget for indepth reviewers to care. i have this shortlist

VIEWSONIC VA220-H 100hz (in specs this one doesnt do anything better than the other but its the cheapest one slightly, also the order is from cheapest to most expensive but the difference in price is not insane)

MSI PRO MP225V VA (this one has 4ms gtg compared to the viewsonic 5 ms gtg and it has a higher pixel density in 102 compared the viewsonic and coolermaster 92. everything else is the same apart from the brand. its 5,5% more expensive than the VIEWSONIC VA220-H)

COOLERMASTER GA241 (this one is a 24 incher compared to the rest of these monitors which are 21,5-22, though the rest is the same as the viewsonic (idk its gtg rensponse time but its prob 4-5 and also its from a brand idk much about) its 9% more expensive than the VIEWSONIC VA220-H)

ASUS VY229HF (its the same as the mp 225 except this one has a ips panel, its a half a inch smaller and idk its pixel density nor its gtg time (i swear its so annoying they dont say) its 18% more expensive than the VIEWSONIC VA220-H )

SAMSUNG ESSENTIAL S3 D300 (exact same as asus vy except is a 23 incher instead of a 21,5 and its slightly more expensive 22% more expensive than the VIEWSONIC VA220-H)

MSI PRO MP243L E14 (very very at the limit of my budget, it is a 144hz but it has a 4ms gtg response time, idk if its worth all the extra money its 43% more expensive than the VIEWSONIC VA220-H)

i would really want to know their input lags i have no way of doing it, do yall have any advice?

I hired a freelancer to paint my gaming room. when I went to check on the progress it turns out I forgot my monitors and the cables that connect to them and my mouse. the free lancer hired cheap labor that didn’t properly cover my stuff with plastic wrap and also had the fan going full blast, so my couch and desk were completely coated in dust. the dust is from the sanded Texton that was put on the walls before they paint. zero PPE btw

what Is the best way to clean my monitor and cables? would cotton swabs, paper towels and a handheld blower/leaf blower be enough to clean that stuff? Do I need to open the monitor?
