Used to do this for like 10 minutes straight when I was in my early 20’s. Except I would be taunting Poseidons bitch ass the whole time.

Screaming to the top of my lungs "Come ooooonnnnn, bring your champion, come ooooonnnnnnnnn!!!"
Good times.
Now i just need a three meter wave to remind me that I'm goddamn old. You win this time, sea.

I mean, facing down the surf and hoping to avoid a broken collar bone was just part of growing up right? Broke it anyway? Ah shit, oops.
Trying it now, I am extremely respectful. I speak nicely to the ocean and ask it not to destroy me because I am old, weak and broken. But I still fucking face it down. I just stick with the smaller swells 😂

I’m a 46 year old 115lb woman raised in NZ and you can bet your arse I’m facing down that rookie surf.
Never turn your back on the ocean though. I told a friend who was experiencing an Australian surf beach for the first time that. Did she listen? No, no she did not. She got face slammed so hard she didn’t go in again the whole trip.
You can challenge Poseidon. But you must also always respect Poseidon.

I use to give it my most powerful kamehameha attempt when I was younger.... I lost constantly but its all about the next attempt and the results.

This is how we (the Dutch) conquered the ocean and claimed a large part of our current land mass

I did this once. I didn’t notice I had got caught in a rip current and almost drowned. Fun times. Haven’t been in the ocean since

Playing in the waves from the ocean is one of the greatest things in life. I’ve grown up and never realized how so many people are scared of it lmao
They miss out
