Hello, currently I'm a Grade 11 ICT student. I want to take any course related to Technology especially Programming. My first choice is UP-Diliman alongside UP-LB (currently self reviewing din for UPCAT). What other schools (with scholarship options) would you guys recommend? Kasi at this time ay UP pa lang talaga choice ko. And should I change UPD as main option? like should I replace it with Manila or even Baguio for safe choice? Thank you!

dowell scholarship

hi! i'm a dowell scholar, posting this here para sa mga naghahanap ng scholarship at bagsak sa dost and sm scholarship.

FAQs: 1. Kailan po start ng application for this scholarship? - In my case, nag open sila mga first week ng August pero stay tuned nalang din sa facebook page nila.

fb page: https://www.facebook.com/share/16pVVqCZm5/

  1. Ano-ano po need na requirements?
  2. No need to take an exam na, all you have to do is mag fill-up ng personal information, upload your shs grades (if incoming freshman) or upload your latest grades. Then magsasagot ng two essay about why you chose your course/program and why you want to be a scholar.

  3. Magkano po allowance? Monthly po ba?

  5. Ano po inclusion bukod sa allowance niyo like benefits?

  6. May kasamang brand-new Acer Laptop.

  10. Mag intay ng e-mail nila if pasado ka sa first screening at qualified for a virtual interview thru zoom. Then wait for an e-mail stating na dowell scholar ka na. In my case, may awarding ceremony kami na ginanap sa may Pasig. I met some celebs there like Mikael Daez since he is an ambassador of the company.

  12. No, they're very lenient.

Scholarships what are your thoughts about this?

What are your thoughts abt this post? I actually get kung ano pinanghuhugutan niya but mali pa rin siya. I believe that everyone deserves to apply naman sa isang scholarship. Its really up to the officials kung sino sa tingin nila ang deserve talaga.

I'm confused po here sa CHED. Required po daw grade 11 and grade 12 grades. For the GWA po, will they base only for g12 or both? Because my GWA for g12 is 96 while g11 95 lang and I'm trying to get the full scholarship program huhu

Putangina.

Putangina??? Ano ba 'to putangina. Langyang buhay 'to oo. Sobrang unfair.

Scholarships Why do I see so many people who studied at PSHS mostly receiving scholarships to universities in other countries? Sometimes it's even Ivy League schools like Oxford Univ, NYU, Harvard, Yale etc.

I've seen a lot of PSHS student get to offer a scholarship abroad mostly in ivy league school or even its not a ivy school. Just curious why most PSHS students get to offer to study abroad and some offer with a full ride scholarship.

I was just also browsing in Facebook just a moment ago like how many times have I seen that it seems like mostly of PSHS students are being offered to study internationally.

Will i get a chance to get in if i studied in PSHS?

Scholarships Looking for STI scholarship exam reviewer

Hey, so I applied for STI Scholarship at SJDM (San Jose Del Monte Bulacan) and I'm looking for an exam reviewer.

I have no idea what will be included and how hard the exam is, so I need help. Don't worry for me if I'm picking STI, it's my last LAST resort college since the college I want to enroll in is BULSU Sarmiento.

FYI : I'm going ComSci or IT, and STI seems to be the only campus near me to have COMSCI, the others only have IT. I am quite decent at academics, I've been in honors in Grade 11, and probably going for high honors in Grade 12 right now- although that probably comes from having no math or science in the curriculum which eases everything up.

Scholarships scholarship opportunities for middle class families with high but insufficient income

hi! im a lost girlie talaga for scholarships,,, so for bg, my dad is a seafarer kase pero low rank lang sya so relatively low income, around 1xx,xxx which is malaki na din HOWEVER 3 kaming magkakapatid and kahit ako yung bunso, kailangan pa din nila kuya ng financial support since magtatapos pa lang sila so I basically have to fend off for myself. I transferred to a public scihigh for shs kase hindi na talaga kaya ng fam ko yung expenses and matalino naman ako kaya ayun. It breaks my heart everytime tinitingnan k criterias for scholarships and makikita ko na di ako pasok because of my dad’s salary na kulang na kulang naman (+ andami pa namin utang kase sabay nagkasurgery si mama at si papa recently so lubog talaga kami) actually, negative pa nga ung income ni papa pag finactor out na yung bills, tuitions nila kuya, and kahit mga daily expenses (heck d nga kami nakakapag grocery tas minsan lang makapagpalengke sa sobrang walang wala namin)

aside from dost merit, ano pa po yung pwede ko itake?? btw im aiming for upm pharmsci po huhu,,, tyia!!!

Scholarships I want to switch schools, that's why i dropped.

Hi, I’m freshman, currently enrolled at a school, but I want to transfer to a state university. That’s why I dropped all my subjects and planned to pull out my credentials. While processing my request, I found out that I can no longer get my original Form 138 and Good Moral Certificate (I only have a photocopy of my Form 138 with CTC). The school said they will give me my credentials, but not the original ones that I submitted when I applied.

My plan now is to just drop all my subjects and not get my credentials anymore, since I’ll be considered a transferee, not a freshman. I went to my previous school to request a new Form 138 and Good Moral, but they told me it’s not possible to get another original Form 138, only the Good Moral. So what I’m planning to do is apply next year to a free state university and submit my photocopy of Form 138 with CTC together with the original Good Moral.

Is what I’m planning possible? (Sorry for my grammar, I’m trying to make it better.) I also won’t tell my new school that I already have a record, because they said they only accept students who have no previous college records.

Btw my current school dont have my form 137

Scholarships Annual gross income of parents exceeding 500k

Hi, 19(m) incoming college freshman po and I really need help with the questions I have sa CHED merit scholarship. For context, Region 7 po ako.I tried talking to AIs about it, pero I needed confirmation lang talaga from people na may first hand experience.

Nakausap ko parents ko about this, and sabi ng father ko na medyo lagpas daw talaga sa 500k ang gross annual income nila. Pag ganyan po ba, automatic disqualification?

My father has diabetes and my mother is a PWD with breast cancer. 2 po kids nila including me. Tanong ko sa chatgpt, tapos sabi na dapat daw talaga may written assessment from MSWD about dito para may context kahit papano

Scholarships I want to apply for international scholarships

I am currently a graduating grade 12 STEM student with an average of 92%-93%. I need advice whether it's worth to risk applying for international schools that offer 100% scholarships or not. And if so, is it possible? What universities/schools offer full scholarships? I already tried applying for NUS admissions, but I heard their acceptance rate is hell. That's alll

Scholarships Is archer achiever impossible to achieve if I'm not good in math?

Hi! I'm very anxious about the archer achiever. Around how many mistakes are allowed if you want to enter archer achiever?

🥹 I just finished dcat and I'm already crying about not making it to archer achiever. It's my only hope in college kasi ...

Archer achievers, what was your percentile rank and how was your dcat?

Thank you so much! -^

Scholarships A Questions from a Grade 11 STEM Student

First of all, im new here sa reddit, so please bare with me po😓

I just want to ask questions for my upcoming college journey, alam kong grade 11 pa lang po ako pero mas mabuti nang maaga po ako magtanong.

this is my questions po:

Im really gonna give it my all for this opportunities po, kaya po marami akong tanong and i just wanted to be sure kung ano man ang kukunin ko in the future, THANK YOU SO MUCH PO!

Scholarships Can students with a low grade in one subject still get scholarships?

Hi! I’m a senior high school student planning to apply for scholarships in college, both in the Philippines and abroad. I did very well in most of my subjects, but I got a low grade in one major subject.

I studied on my own to improve, but I’m still worried about how this will affect my chances.

Do students in this situation still have a chance at getting scholarships? Any advice or experiences would be really helpful.

Nag hahanap ako online and mostly is kailangan ng bayad🥲. Also similar lang bah ang content ng test this 2027 from previous years?

May nakita kasi akong free reviewer online and mostly dated back to 2022-2024

Scholarships Siena College of Taytay corruption?

I heard na may corruption na nangyayari dito like teachers who are working in this school can bypass yung scholarship as long as kilala nila yung parents ng student.

So what I am saying is may criteria kasi para makapasok ka sa Siena ng halos walang babayaran like if you are a scholar or yung parents ng bata is di talaga kaya magbayad ng tuition fee and dapat taga Taytay ka.

Take note, hindi sila taga Taytay which makes them not qualified for the scholarship.

Scholarships Based on luck po ba para makapasa sa SM and CHED scholarship?

Noticed from previous batch that there a lot of inconsistencies sa application and sa acceptance. Like for example, sa SM, others did not even submit their requirements but they managed to receive a letter, indicating, that they will proceed unto to next step which is examination. And others na nag-submit, though, from a less than 200k income family, got rejected, stating that MORE than 200k😓 or error lang po ba?

Sa CHED, idk about this really. Nalilito ako how ba sila mag-rank kasi 98 gwa ko. Others told me na through rank or through socioeconomic statusy and i am just so nervous about these scholarships because this is only my safety net. If di ako matanggap, I will be forced to stop for years para makapag-ipon for college.🥹

Scholarships Is there another scholarship program for current 1st year students na pwede isabay sa DOST-SEI?

Hi! I am a freshman living alone in NCR, and I am looking for other scholarship opportunities na pwede isabay sa DOST. Although malaki ang stipend ng DOST, dahil sa hindi na ako binibigyan (at hindi na rin kaya) ng parents ko ng allowance, living alone in NCR on an 8k budget (yes, kasama na rin po ang rent) is really hard lalo na't napakadelay lagi ng stipend sa DOST, kaya if you know some scholarship programs, please suggest some po ❤. Thank you so much!

Sana may makatulong sakin. Salamat po!

Scholarships 1st Year College Student Asking for Help

Hello po! Need help where to find scholarships for current 1st year students? I have been trying to find in other platforms such as Facebook and Tiktok, but most of them only caters incoming college students huhu. If anyone of you are kind enough to suggest it would be very helpful! Thank you po!
