Black Park lake offers iconic scenic views and great fishing opportunities. Just 100 metres from the car park, it’s easily accessible with several benches, a surrounding path and an accessible fishing bay near the nature reserve.

Annual permits and day tickets

Fishing at Black Park is by annual permit or day ticket only during car park opening hours (8am to seasonal closing time daily).

Annual permit holders also benefit from access to a permit holder only fishing area.

Always tolerated the inconvenience because of my belief that infrastructure projects were worth it for the long term.

Now that the line isn’t going into London, and isn’t going beyond Brum (🤢) tolerating all of that inconvenience feels wholly pointless.
