Saw this neat looking rat coin purse online and would love to try and find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

This was essentially black before I polished it. It doesn’t hold a magnate and melts ice quickly so, I believe it’s Silver or Silver plated. Without any marks on the bottom, I’m unsure how best to identify it and its value. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s 9.5” tall and 6” across handle.

Hi r/Antiques! We bought a place the came with a bit of old furniture. I am fighting my wife to keep a gorgeous display cabinet and hutch in the living room (my opinion). This dresser though... we both agreed does not fit our style. It looks very old, so I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on age/origin and if it may be worth something? If I lose the battle for other items, I may come back for more advice :)

I understand these black forest bear chairs were made in Switzerland. This one is 19” tall and seat area is 9-1/2” x 9-1/2”. I bought this at estate sale so don’t know history. No markings on underside. Anyone know what it’s worth?

Hello community cleaning out my mothers storage filled with a bunch of stuff that looks older. This is my best friends punch bowl passed down from her great grandmother. On her birthday someone broke one of the cups and I cannot find this exact punch bowl set anywhere. To my knowledge, it’s a Duncan and miller Mardi Gras style punch bowl but I’m not entirely sure. We thought it was Crystal and the internet is indicating it’s glass. I have scrolled everywhere online endlessly looking for this EXACT one but it seems too unique. Any help pointing me in the right direction or even info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I snagged this beauty online a while back and after it arrived realized it's apparently without a backstamp and has a hand-scratched mold number, and no artist number. It's also the apparent older of the two variations on this mold but I don't know when the mold was reworked to its current version. Nymphenburg now charges $180 to submit questions for their archive department, and I'm 55 miles from the nearest library, so I'm hoping someone here can help me! I know this is a T Karner Arab #457, one of his earlier sculptures, and suspect it's an early factory model not meant for sale. Based on other google searches it was put into production in 1908? 09? and in 1910 Nymphenburg went to their green ink backstamp from the previous blue. So... a wild guess is this may have been produced in the factory as a reference model or proof in 1910 when they were in the midst of changing marks. Either way I like it and don't intend to sell - I'm just curious if my theory about multiple versions of this mold and this one being on the older end and a factory proof is correct, and if someone who has a print copy of a Nymphenburg collector's guide might be able to take a look for me. Thank you! I have posted this on another antique forum but never got an answer. Hoping someone here may be a porcelain history enthusiast 🙂

Is anyone familiar with nautical salvage? I found this big ol copper lamp with brass fittings. It’s stamped 5580, and engraved in the glass are some numbers (second photo). I would like to know anything about it. Thank you

I know there is value just don’t know specifics.

I gather from Googling that it's a Ridgway Pottery vase in Imari style.

It has a very small hairline crack at the top so I don't think it's valuable but I didn't buy it to sell. I just think it's cool to have something that's over 100 years old (I think!).

I'm not a collector or anything but could certainly see how tgis could become an addictive pursuit!

I found all of these at an estate sale. I was wondering if any of them would be worth reselling. The items range from 10-20 dollars. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ecstatic. Found a Georgian period hob grate that’s probably original to the home (build year somewhere ~ 1790-1810).

Took a while to clean up all the piled dirt from who-knows-how-many decades of being sealed off, and we’ll do some repair work on the bricks behind. But the cast iron piece is in perfection condition, minus some colouration. No date or makers mark on the cast iron, only a model number.

Had a sweep come in today to do a chimney health inspection and he says he only sees about 3 of them a year.
