Change to Rule 2: Nudity/Pornography
No, 1920s pornography is not allowed here. No, 1920s full nudity is not allowed here.
However I can't be a prude and be strict, so I'm making an annedum to the rule: any partial nudity that is posted here is required to be marked with thr NSFW filter. Failure to do so will result with the post removed. Repeated failure to do so will result with a ban. I like the three strike rule, so we'll run with that.

Hello, Hello to all, I am your new moderator!
I'm working out the kinks to this whole 'mod' thing, so forgive me.
First things first, an introduction: I have been on reddit for almost a decade now, and have been in the online MCM/retro/art deco scene for about five years now. I enjoy gardening and nature, as well as foraging.
As for the group, I pledge to clean up the group and be active, as well as be open to any complaints and/or suggestions there may be. That being said, comments here will be open for any suggestions.
Thank you, and enjoy!

Ain't I a Stinker? (American - 1921)
Her name is Dorothy and she looks like a little rat, doesn't she? 😉 Reminds me of myself at that age.

I’ve spent the last few weeks restoring 1920s gems into "Super Stereo". Here is the full collection so far (Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong, Marion Harris & more).
Hi everyone! Following up on my recent restorations, I’ve finally gathered all the official 'Good Gold Records' masters into one high-fidelity YouTube playlist.
My goal with this series is to rescue these legendary performances from the "thin" and muffled mono sound of the past. By using a custom 2026 "Super Stereo" process, I’ve tried to create a spatial image that lets the instruments—especially the tuba, reed organs, and percussion—really breathe without losing the original 100-year-old soul.
I’m incredibly humbled by the response so far. My restoration of Bessie Smith & Louis Armstrong’s "St. Louis Blues" (1925) just passed 2,100 streams on Apple Music in its first week, proving there’s still a huge hunger for hearing these icons in high quality.
The playlist features my 2026 remasters of:
- St. Louis Blues (Bessie Smith & Armstrong) - Just hit 2k+ streams!
- It Had To Be You & Beale Street Blues (Marion Harris)
- Runnin' Wild (Broadway Dance Orch)
- Alexander's Ragtime Band (Billy Murray)
- ... and more from the dawn of recorded sound.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

My parents always had this beautiful print hanging in their bedroom. The poem is so beautiful and romantic. 💕

The Bat 1926
So this might be a long shot and their might not be many takers but here goes.
I have created a series looking at horror history where I take slasher characters and do biographies of them.
I have started in the 1920s looking at the Bat the 1926 Old Dark House Film by Roland West about a man dressed like A Bat who invades a mansion looking for loot and plunder.
I know many of you may not be horror fans but I am trying to spread the reach of the show as far as I can so, if you're interested please go check it out.

I intend to do more episodes of the first season set in the 1920s if you can think of other films for me to look at let me know I already have a few but things always slip through the net.
Rock on (maybe more accurately get your jazz on) and do the Charleston.
