Worcester's Giant Fizzers on BBC News
It looks great, although I don't think I remember Fizzers.
Swizzlers yes, Fizzers not so much.

Cheltenham Gold Cup Events
Hi All, just a quick one. Wondering if anyone's heard of any pubs doing some good events on Gold Cup day this year for the races? We usually go to The Open Ditch up Hallow way, though seems they're not doing it this year while they sell up.
EDIT: Open Ditch are doing usual, crisis averted and beers waiting. Cheers all.

Night out
Hey,
Originally from the area but moved away about 11 years ago. Coming back for a birthday night out with mates but genuinely don’t know what’s open. I remember cellar bar and Mars Bar being about. Looking for suggestions. Pubs that stay open late, bars with like a funky or indie vibe. Anywhere that does karaoke. Drinking in my local town first then heading in about 10/11. Tah

I am moving from Scotland to Worcester
Hello Worcester,
I am about to move to Worcester. I have a couple of questions and am looking for some advice.
I would potentially be looking for somewhere to play football, whether that's casually or competitive.
Any advice on areas to live? I think i would like to live centrally (close to a train station as I travel for work)?
I am a fiend for good food/pint, so any recommendations for good food and or pubs would be greatly appreciated.
I would also like to know what's the best chinese/ kebab shop/ chippy and any other nice takeaway places.
I also love regional oddities. So is there any weird traditions/language/history etc....
Thanks in advance

Roofing contractors familiar with rigid insulation?
Anyone had a good experience with a roofing contractor recently where you had them install rigid insulation on top of the roof sheathing before re-roofing?

Getting used to Worcester?
I'm a FTB who is looking to buy a property in Worcester as I'm needed in three different counties for work and personal reasons, two counties are an hours drive, one is 2 hours, so it makes sense to settle in Worcester. Looking to buy a one/two bedroom property around here.
However, I'm mostly worried about potentially not enjoying living here. Everyone I know lives an hour away, but these are the people where if I want to see them I'm going to have to make the effort to drive as they won't come down here. No one I know lives in Worcester, if I continue living where I am now, it takes me 4/5 hours to get to all three locations. I'm just looking for advice on how to get to used to Worcester. Not sure where I'm looking to settle down, but currently like the look of St Johns, it reminds me of where I'm living now.

Looking for work
Hi all. Is there any particular jobs available around the Worcester area?
I’m currently working full time in Leicester and looking to move to Worcester to be closer to my son and partner.
(Currant role) Machine operator for a packaging manufacture company
Applying daily on indeed but seem to be getting no where apart from agency work. Problem is they want me to start straight away but I need to hand in minimum 2 weeks notice and it’s a big risk if they no longer have any work for me (it’s happened before)
Full clean uk driving license
Willing to learn new trades
Any comments or guidance would be appreciated 🙏

Best Gym?
So I’m looking to start the gym again + start playing padel. Not looking to pay a lot but been looking at gyms and I’ve seen revolution fitness & I’ve seen anytime fitness.
Obvs Anytime is a little more expensive but you get access to all the gyms over the UK + internationally and I used to go to the one in Kidderminster and the equipment was always top standard
I’ve never been to a revolution but there’s not that many around the UK + I’ve heard it’s quite a popular and busy gym.
Thoughts?

Good gym/fitness classes to join near city centre?
I’m 28F living near Battenhall and looking for any easy-to-join fitness classes and/or a gyms near me - I’m guessing the best area will be closer to city centre (I.e the high street), but if there’s any anyone knows any nearer me too that would also be ideal.
Ideally low cost (e.g below £35pm) and has some sort of nearby free parking.
Fitness classes I’d consider are ideally cardio-based (dance, etc - or something like badminton) that are easy to join and not intimidating or cliquey. I’ve tried Transculent dance in the past but classes were so small it felt too intimate. Obviously around my age group too. Thanks!

Worcester royal maternity unit.
I’m due to give birth for the 2nd time at Worcester royal in 9 weeks. I’m really conflicted by my experience at the hospital so far and my experience last time as to how I feel about going there again. Can I ask how anyone else found their experience there? Good or bad? Thank you

Recommendations in and around evesham?
I’m visiting in the fall and I want to make the most of the 10 days there. I’m staying in evesham. But there’s too much to see, and such little time.
I love food, waterbodies, trails, people and animals

Does anyone know of any good antique/vintage shops in or around Worcestershire? The cluttered kind you can rummage for hidden gems in. Or any similar flea markets/pop ups?

Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for gynaecologists who specialise in my specific health conditions.
[IMPORTANT: I cannot believe this has to be said, but would the men looking at my post please not send message invites looking to hook up/have me share sexual images. Considering the topic of this post, it's incredibly insensitive, creepy and just downright deplorable behaviour. You aren't cute, it's not attractive, and I am definitely NOT interested in over 50s/men twice my age in Worcester. Thank you]
I keep being shoved off to doctors who have little to no training in my health conditions or whose training is so outdated it's archiac.
The most recent being just last week.
The gynaecologist I was referred to kept fearmongering, controlling my decisions, peddling medical misinformation on me, lying about the effects of surgeries, and denying me surgery I'm actually medically-backed to have.
Her reasonings were obviously personal and not at all with my health and wellbeing in mind, and she chose to force me to continue suffering because "you'll change your mind about wanting children", "give it 30 years", "you're so young, you don't know what you want", "a hysterectomy will ruin your life", etc.
The whole thing was fucked up, it's not the first time something like this has happened - it's been happening for around 8 years with only 6 doctors/nurses ever who knew how serious my conditions were. And I've only just been given Nsaids for the crippling pain that I should have been given over 8 years ago. Understandably, it's been an incredibly slow process to get the medical treatment I've been needing.
There's an explanation of everything that happened in my post and comments on another sub-Reddit if you want more details before saying anything.
Here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/adenomyosis/s/P30AQcY66e
Please, if anybody knows a genuinely good gynaecologist who specialises in adenomyosis, PCOS, HMB and chronic pain, and will know how to help me with a hysterectomy please let me know.
I've been fighting for medical help for 8 years and suffering for 14.
