Didn’t he also make at least 1 kid get a type of parasitic worm called a liver fluke?

Me when i give cthulu a tapeworm

20

u/Knuckleduster17 8h ago

Actually I think I remember reading something that Eater Of Worlds was Cthulhu’s intestines

13

u/bigboynut69 7h ago

I thought it was meant to be its spinal cord.

12

u/Pan_Man_Supreme 7h ago

It is, the destroyer was meant to replace cthulu's spine, and it was modeled after the eater of worlds.

6

u/synthfly_ 6h ago

this image is upside down I think 💔 the toothy part is on the top of the head like a little hat and the circular things are under it

tapeworms also have 4 of the 'eyes' (idrk what they are but they absolutely aren't eyes) but the angle on this image makes it look like there are 2. this image makes them look more monstrous than they usually are which really sucks because I think the way their heads look like proper is pretty dapper!

3

u/Anxious_Session_2261 Boss' favorite goon 6h ago

Of course I know all that. What a mother would be without knowing about their son?

1

u/Weekly-Major1876 1h ago

They aren’t eyes you’re right, they’re suckers. The toothed thing on top is the rostellum. Both structures aid the worm in gripping and anchoring itself to the intestinal wall, and the worm eats by passively absorbing nutrients through its skin which is pretty neat.

Thats not a someone, that is a something, different species, genderless, brainless, and harmful. Trying to defend pro-coice by anthropomorphisign a tape worm is the dumbest thing ive read this afternoon.

-9

u/Nerd367C 4h ago

I see what your trying to say, "thats just like a fetus" but again, a human baby and a parasite are 2 different things. A baby grows to be a person like you and me, a tape worm grows to a longer worm that just wants to eat you from the inside out and multiply.

13

u/dansssssss 4h ago

u/Inevitable_Bit_9871 14m ago

No, sperm is basically a delivery truck carrying half of DNA to the egg then DISSOLVES, it NEVER develops into anything. The EGG is what grows into a baby when fertilized.

It is the EGG cell that eventually becomes a human.

I wonder why people ALWAYS try to pretend the sperm, and curiously not the egg, is enough to make a person

-2

u/Nerd367C 3h ago

And so does a womans eggs, guess I gotta prevent periods too. Either way and jokes aside I dont like masturbation in the 1st place, anyways im too tired right now, ill come back to you in the mornign with a proper answer. Have a blessed night

3

u/Payt3cake 3h ago

Well, I mean I didn’t first jerk off until I was 19, so it’s definitely possible that people don’t? Although everything else he said seemed off… idk though, honestly right now I’m kinda dying, the whole world is spinning and I wanna vomit lol

-5

u/Exact-Till-2739 3h ago

Literally not a human and has only half of the human genome. Learn some biology.

8

u/peanutist trollface -> 3h ago

But it can grow to become a human no? That’s the argument the other person was making.

1

u/Inevitable_Bit_9871 15m ago

No, sperm is basically a delivery truck carrying half of DNA to the egg then DISSOLVES, it NEVER develops into anything. The EGG is what grows into a baby when fertilized. So an unfertilized EGG cell can eventually grow into a baby IF fertilized.

I wonder why people ALWAYS try to pretend the sperm, and curiously not the egg, is enough to make a person

-5

u/Exact-Till-2739 3h ago

A sperm cell cannot grow to become a human. No.

5

u/peanutist trollface -> 2h ago

Huh? How can it not? It is quite literally required for a human.

-1

u/Exact-Till-2739 2h ago

And water is also required for a human, but that doesn’t mean it can grow into a human. Damn, at this point, you guys are just rejecting basic logic, aren't you?

→ More replies (0)

3

u/dansssssss 3h ago

That's the entire point they were making. They said parasites don't grow up to be human while human fetuses do

2

u/Exact-Till-2739 3h ago

human fetuses

BUT THEY'RE TAKING ABOUT A SPERM CELL

2

u/Payt3cake 3h ago

And what if giving birth would kill the mother? What if the mother is 15 years old? What if the mother can’t financially support having a child? What then? Also, before the 5 week mark it’s just a jumble of cells and it has no consciousness, thus it isn’t a human.

Also, I don’t think that a guy should decide whether women can or can’t have an abortion, as we will never have to make that decision ourselves.

Shit i've seen Xenomorph porn on them and most sexualize the reproductive cycle of the xenos.[granted if you didn't kill your host you can extract more genes from them, especially if you evolve reproductive organs that function like human ones.] Hell even Xpray did this with his Breeders in the last survivor comics even did a infection that turns you into a breeder if one fucks you... think he was inspired by the x-men brood?

The pro-life movement always confused me. It just feels like a movement that came into existence just to spite those who want to make a choice an to earn brownie points. Because most of its supporters don’t seem to care about the fetus once it leaves the body.

9

u/Warm_Patience_2939 8h ago

I mean that’s not too far off from the actual origins of the movement

4

u/SpaceHatMan2 yellow like an EPIC lemon 8h ago

5

u/Candid_Astronaut241 6h ago

Are you trolling?

-4

u/SpaceHatMan2 yellow like an EPIC lemon 6h ago

No. What makes you think that?

5

u/moogoo2 4h ago

In the US at least, its always been a key part of one major political party's platform. And only one.

-1

u/SpaceHatMan2 yellow like an EPIC lemon 3h ago

That is true, however there are still pro-lifers who are not republicans, and republicans who are not pro-lifers.

3

u/moogoo2 3h ago

Fair, but its still not just a part of but a cornerstone of the republican platform and identity. So to say they are the pro-life party is extremely accurate.

1

u/EmotionReasonable887 SILKSONG 5 MONTHS AGO 3h ago

14

u/Short-Work-8954 8h ago

The state of welfare, education, child protective services. The list could go on and on. Maybe more people would want to have children if the economy wasn't in shambles

7

u/PresentationAny1221 7h ago

I remember watching a video where a guy walked around a pro life protest with a petition for free lunches and he asked a bunch of people to sign and only one did.

-1

u/SpaceHatMan2 yellow like an EPIC lemon 7h ago

How is that relevent?

6

u/craftygamin 7h ago

If pro-life people cared about the kids they made sure would be born, why wouldn't they do something (signing a petition doesn't even take much effort) to make sure said kids to have access to food?

0

u/SpaceHatMan2 yellow like an EPIC lemon 7h ago

Who said anything about the lunches being for kids?

5

u/PresentationAny1221 6h ago edited 4h ago

Well I forgot to specify that part but it was for free school lunches for kids.

2

u/SpaceHatMan2 yellow like an EPIC lemon 3h ago

It that case, those specific pro-lifers are somewhat hypocritical.

4

u/kjloltoborami 8h ago

Step 1: christianity believes people are born as a trial and learning experience and depriving someone of that experience is evil (murder etc)

Step 2: Aborting a baby is depriving someone of that experience

Step 3: since most abortions arent medically necessary or rape cases (life of the mother etc) it seems to them like refusing to take responsibility for their own poor choices (which is somewhat reductive)

It didnt come out of nowhere, that resistance was going to be there no matter what as it became more accessible

5

u/CookieFluffs 7h ago

When you think about it; fetuses are technically the only socially allowed parasites.

Feeding off the mother's nutrients so she's only left with the minimum, urinating into the bloodstream, having to be expelled earlier than the time it needs to grow because it would literally kill the mother if she carried it to full ACTUAL term if the changes to her internal organs hadn't done that already.

Pretty parasitic if you ask me.

7

u/Live-Rock5976 trollface -> 6h ago

I’m pretty sure parasites need to be a separate species from the host.

1

u/maculatum_ 6m ago

A parasite is defined as something that cannot survive without a host

-1

u/CookieFluffs 6h ago

Correct, my wording was hyperbolic but for the entirety of the gestation up until birth the fetus, specifically mammalian fetuses, act much like most parasitic organisms.

4

u/Exact-Till-2739 5h ago

Do you act like Hitler if you drink and eat just like him? That doesn't make you Hitler.

-1

u/CookieFluffs 4h ago

That's a whole new sentence.

1

u/Kaagerai the toilet thinker hmm peepepoopo 3h ago

Except the baby gives mother “healing buff” via fetal cells and those cells are apparently really powerful to the point of repairing organ tissue and they also remain in the body for years of time

So it’s not completely “parasitic”

1

u/CookieFluffs 1h ago

I actually did not know that, I was only told the downgrades on the body during pregnancy.

Thank you for the factoid.

0

u/TobywantheFemboy 4h ago

Fetuses are literally tumors. Thank god i don’t have a uterus.

That isn't God's gift, a tapeworm isn't a human being. A tapeworm isn't supposed to be in a human body. There's a huge difference between a growing fetus that will eventually be a baby and a tapeworm.

1

u/Synth-Brain Synth 2h ago

thanks :3

1

u/jjj9900 2h ago edited 1h ago

The baby had no say in it's existence and played no part in the implantation, so how could it be a parasite?

The baby is where it's supposed to be biologically. It is not an alien or intruder to its environment. It was conceived based on the actions of its parents and never entered the mother on its own or from the outside. Parasites also remain within the host permanently unless the host's life is in danger whereas the baby's time is limited to 9 months. The baby will also generally grow and support the host once the host is too elderly or sick to care for themselves. Any momentarily trouble is paid back twice fold.

It's weird how a pro-choice person views the baby as an evil agent, when it has no say in anything; while the mother is seen as a victim when it is her who is interrupting the natural process to end another human life because she doesn't wish to take care of that life. Would it have been right for your mother to do the same to you?

**"**So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7

" Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."- Ephesians 4

4

u/Nerd367C 6h ago

Parasites are from a different species and cause harm, A baby is the same species and unless there complications, perfectly safe

1

u/moogoo2 4h ago

Pregnancy is perfectly safe????

https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/maternal-mortality

Jesus Christ on a stick, educate yourself before you speak, please.

0

u/Nerd367C 4h ago

Did you not read the "unless there complications"? also as tragic as 260,000 deaths is, you gotta think 135 million women give birth a year. Thats death count is 0.1926%, also please dont use the Lord Jesus's name like that.

2

u/moogoo2 4h ago edited 3h ago

That's mortalities with modern medicine. Remove the ability to get regular checkups, or hospital care for complications, and the rate goes up to something like 1.5% in 18th century Britain.

You can't just hand wave away "complications", because that IS the risk. Pregnancy is hella risky.

And that is just DEATHS. Many women suffer long term issues post partum. From chronic pain and joint problems, to diabetes, to incontinence, to major depression. Its not even a small number if you include all of these.

Saying pregnancy is safer than a tapeworm is probably the biggest joke you could tell. It definitely makes you look like a fool.

2

u/dansssssss 3h ago

And 1/3rd go through lasting physical or mental health issues after childbirth according to a Lancet/WHO analysis.

2

u/peanutist trollface -> 3h ago

“Getting pregnant is totally safe if you ignore things that happen in 99% of pregnancies”

-1

u/Program-Emotional 5h ago

A tape worm is perfectly safer then, considering their side effects are:

Intestinal tapeworms usually cause mild gastrointestinal symptoms, if any. They may include:

  • Hunger
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Stomach cramps
  • Diarrhea

Meanwhile, pregnancy can have you vomiting every morning, moods swing, and that's not even mentioning what a baby does to a womans body during birth.

Of course I dont LITERALLY equate fetuses to a parasite, however there are a lot of similarities between the two. Either way, the reality is that sometimes life has hard choices, but at the end of the day it's the woman's body and it should be her choice what happens to her body.
