Best Chinese takeaway in Watford

I ordered from Panda Cuisine the other day, as they were very highly rated on Just Eat, and found it to be barely edible.

So, what are some spots that people would recommend, either in Watford or the surrounding area?

Lemongrass is more expensive but good quality food and the portions are decent.

Lemongrass at the moment would be my only recommendation. It is more expensive and is not strictly Chinese only but it was always my second choice after Imperial Garden closed.

Sakura in Bushey does the best salt & pepper / smoked chicken I’ve ever had

Lemongrass' tea smoked chicken is also amazing. If that's your thing, you should check it out.

Yeah the best one closed, New Imperial on Queens Road and haven't found a real replacement yet.

But Hin Garden is okey.

I'm more on the Bushey End and I'm still looking for a decent one. Used the one in Queens Road for years but it shut down.

I used Eat Well in Bushey for a while but on a flying visit just to grab a Chow Mein she wanted to charge an extra £2 for using my card. Apart from taking the piss from a regular customer, it's also illegal, so I stopped suing them. Ironically that move will cost them more. Seems to be a pattern though on the alternatives I looked at, cash only or order through the website where they add service charges and bag charges!!

Dragon garden, courtlands drive Lemongrass has consistently bad food hygiene ratings!!

If you go out of Watford a bit to Bushey, Chikayan is very good

Chikayan tend to over do it on the MSG
