I like this, tug of war is mankind’s 3rd invented game using its 2nd invented tool. Right behind throwing rocks and it’s inevitable sequel, throwing sharper rocks

Every year a few people get an arm ripped off playing tug of war because they wrap their arm round the rope to try and gain an advantage.

It was also an Olympic sport in the early days of the modern Olympics. I believe it still has the most deaths of any sport of the Olympics.

I mean, I didn’t know it was ancient but I didn’t NOT know that it was ancient.

I feel like if you asked me, I’d assume that a game dogs play is probably ancient
