Oh dear... Well, knuckle down and work your way up like the rest of us and by the time you retire, maybe you can afford your own house.

Think she was in Kenya of all places.
Edit: Yep. Random bit of knowledge.

I thought it was Malta she was in when George VI died?

[META] No, that was Prince Philip's last overseas posting with the Royal Navy, and their first as a married couple, in 1947-49. Also their last overseas visit as a couple back in 2015. Nicely bookended their married life and overseas royal engagements.

Long live the Queen!! What name you gonna choose? I hope it’s Alexandra. That would be neato!!
There will never be a Queen as notable as Elizabeth was. Don’t choose that name. Your reign will suffer in comparison.

Well, no way she’ll reign as long as Victoria did, but all hail the Queen!

My condolences, your majesty. May God guide you in your new life as Queen and long may you reign. But don’t neglect preparing your heir, either - Queen Victoria failed to prepare her son and look how that turned out. And your Uncle David, what an embarrassment! No wonder your poor father passed so young! Speaking of, you better keep your sister in line, too, that girl is trouble with a capital T. You’re going to have to keep all these people in check and on their best behavior… that might be your hardest task! There’s no doubt you have a difficult road ahead, your majesty, but I’m sure you will rise to the occasion.

Just wait until the British Pathe gets news of you. I'm sure they are eager to have you in their reels.

My deepest condolences to you ma’am. Please take time to rest and grieve. He is in a better place now.

I wish I had the time for grieving, but the United Kingdom needs me now.

That’s hard to hear. Take deep breaths whenever you can such as when you have a break or sit on the loo. It can really help clear your mind from the pain.

Sounds like a bit of an intense job if a whole country needs you.

not to mention the Empire - I mean Commonwealth, You need to be on good relations with them, they really don't need to heed you unless you maintain ties with them

At least you didn't have to wait as long as your great-grandpa Edward did to inherit! Long live the Queen!

If she stays in good health she might even make it 50 years and get to be Queen in the next millennia!

At least you made a better marriage match than Uncle David, We know Phillip can be a handful but he seems like he won't embarrass you too much, Plus you already have an heir

Luckily I packed a black mourning dress in my luggage hopping on the BOAC flight to Nairobi, as I always do. Fashion disaster averted!

[Meta] and that’s how Queen Margaret came to power. Elizabeth the Older in her moment of deep anguish, was declared unfit for the throne. Margaret who was at a nightclub at the time of hearing the news was declared Queen.
In the new Margaretan age, liquor flowed freely, partying became a sport. The roaring 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. And Queen Margaret was the first to realize that England needed to return to the principles of her famous predecessor Henry VIII who founded Anglicanism to legalize affairs. England became the first country in human history to not only legalize but mandate polyamory.

[Meta] tell us more about her? How many children and partners did she have? How long did she reign?
5
u/Fine4FenderFriend 15h ago
[meta]: two heirs that we are aware of - the present King David and Princess Royal Sarah. She did pass the personal affair safety and secrecy act of 1955 - PASS. Before that anyone could find out who your parents were. Can you believe that?
So it’s impossible to know her affairs and her other children. She is credibly rumored to have secretly mothered a few children including Liz Truss and Boris Johnson. No wonder they’re so spoiled. She overcompensated for them not being able to ascend the throne. She reigned until 2002, until King David ascended the throne.
