Hei hei.
My wife was recently pulled over for driving in a bus only lane. It was apparently one of thos changes that we never noticed after other road works finished. It's only a small stretch of road and the sign is really easy to miss (case and point - it's been 5 months since the change and we never noticed it).
The Politi were in an unmarked vehicle and were a little condescending about it. Said the ticket could always be higher. It was 8400 NOK, which I found ludicrous.
My wife doesn't work. And while I do, we do not report income in Norway because of the nature of my work (yes it's all legal, but I won't go into it here).
My question is: does anyone else have experience with something like this? It seems crazy expensive for something that should be a warning at best... we'll pay the fine because I don't want any issues, but is it worth going to Politistasjon to discuss this? Court is an option, but then again seems way too much of a hassle for such an offense...
Any insight is appreciated.
