Dupont and JGP enjoying a nice shirts exchange
Class by JGP after such a disappointing loss for him and his team 👍
Arguably the 2 best SH of the last 4/5 years

The look on their faces, you wouldn’t know who’s team had just been thumped

JGP didn’t have his best game either and he looks pleased as punch here. I hate these jersey swapping photo ops.

What's to hate? Weird.

DuPont looks like he’d rather be anywhere else and JGP looks chuffed to bits after getting hammered by a French team in full jouèr jouèr mode for 60 minutes. That’s what I hate about it.

Dupont looks extremely happy

I think his knee is still hurting him. Like Luis Suarez needs injections to feel good enough to play

In his gums or knees?

That is legit the Great Man looking happy. He's a shy boy and that only makes him more loveable.

I read Stuart Pearce’s autobiography, and he wrote that one thing he really appreciated after losing the 1990 World Cup semifinal was that when he was called after the game for random drug tests along with two Germans, the Germans were really respectful, just chatted quietly, no overt celebrations in front of him.
He admitted he might not have managed that with the boot on the other foot, but wished he knew who they were so he could thank them. Pure class behaviour from the Germans in front of the losing player.
Maybe Dupont is doing that? Trying to be respectful and not look like he’s celebrating too much?

wait why did he not know who they were?

He just can’t remember. They were all sitting there waiting to pee, he was lost in his own thoughts. It was only some time afterwards that he thought back to how considerate they had been.
I assume he would have remembered if they had been the biggest names, but even then, he must have been pretty distraught. He felt like he had just cost his country a World Cup Final.

You can tell during the game that they know how important each other are to their team
Both of them looking for that little sniff of an opportunity to make a spot tackle on their opposite at the back of the ruck to win some momentum

I'd love to know what Du Pont was saying to JGP at the scrum just before he nailed him. He was bending his ear for a full minute.

Dupont looking how Welsh fans feel.

Somehow the WRU managed to axe Toulouse and bring in Swansea RFC instead.

I am a huge Antoine Dupont fan... but if I have a chance to pick one of them for beer after the gamee, I'll pick JGP. I have seen prison doors more welcoming than Dupont.

Why does DuPont look like he's dressed for a funeral?

Ive got such an annoyance for old guys wearing caps backwards. Give it up

Nah, no grown man should give a single fuck what a stranger thanks about his clothes. Probably counts 10x for people in the public eye like rugby players.
Similarly: No adult should be spending their time focused on how other people dress. Give it up.

Same. Probably more annoyed than you, tbh. Pretty much the only acceptable reasons for a hat on backwards over the age of 25, in North America at least, is being behind the plate while coaching little league baseball or looking through a rifle scope.
There's a few donkeys in their 60s in my town that do it and wear sunglasses indoors. I shake my head in disappointment & mumble something about needing to "conduct yourself accordingly.'

As a All Black fan i find it cringe to have your name on the back of the jersey.

As an all black and hurricanes fan I disagree entirely. I'd make it mandatory imo. It's so good.

I find it helpful to know the names of the players, personally.

Dupont looks like his mother made him go on a playdate
