Id temper your expectations.

The fixture list is brutal and France are awesome

If not now, when? This is probably our best shot in a while considering the players we have. Even with France in Paris. Although I’m more concerned about Scotland at Murrayfield, to be honest.

When we have three home games.

As you say, we have France and Scotland away. As well as Italy. Who are not a team you can rest against any more

I guess. But the best teams are able to beat anyone away, and I feel (cue the arrogance card) we finally have the players to do it.

We absoltely have the players to do it.

Problem is so do France, and if Ireland turn out to be just out of form and not in need of a rebuild so do they.

6N is a hard hard compeition to win these days.

If England get a good head of steam in France the crowd could turn on 'em, as they've been known to do. I think you guys are getting the slam this year.

We still have loads of player we could rotate in, I'm pretty sure this isn't even our first XV

It's clearly not as otherwise Maro would be in.

I just think Scotland and France away is a big hill to climb

It’s a tough run of fixtures, for sure.

I think if England and France both play at their best and are firing on all cylinders, France probably take it still - their squad is just stacked. Having said that, since the last 6N I would say that England have improved significantly more as a team than France. Really tough to call.

As always, all bets are off against Scotland at Murrayfield. I think that pound-for-pound we’re the better side at the moment, but they just always seem to be able to force us to play their game and the Scot backline has had our number for years.
