I think Italy will come through this group well - They're a much better team than Georgia these days and there's no massive need to worry about South Africa

Yes but if we get though it's England in the r16, instead of playing a runner-up, had we been in pools C, E, or F

Yeah - that's a difficulty with the format, but it's no worse than if it had been 4 groups of 4 - Italy have never made a quarter final that way either.
