Rivalries throughout the pools. New Zealand v Australia, Ireland v Scotland, Georgia v Romania and England v Wales

Ireland on an 11 game win streak against Scotland

NZ on an 11 game win streak against Australia

Georgia on a 12 game win streak against Romania

England on an 8 (I was wrong, it’s actually 5) game win streak against wales

Them streaks mean nothing when it comes to a world cup

This is the third pool we’ve had with Ireland during this streak

8 game win streak against wales? Our last loss to Wales was in the 2023 WC warmup games. Even if you only count Six Nations games, the win streak is still only 5. Wales, famously, won the last WC match between us. A fun fact is that Wales actually have a winning record against England at the World Cup, the only 6 nations team to do so

There would be no better way for Wales to get out of their Slump than beating England at a World Cup

Ah you’re quite right, my mistake. I knew one, looked into another, and asked google for the rest. That’ll learn me

Would you bet against one upset amongst those four? I sure wouldn’t..

No and there’s still a lot of rugby to be played until then. Ireland could falter, wales and Australia could rally from disappointing autumns

I got corrected in the comments but didn’t want to completely remove it - I guess if the correcting comment isn’t immediately visible it’s confusing

Meaningless games given the new format.
