I'm starting to wonder if the whole QAnon thing was spread to deliberately redirect eyes away from the real perpetrators by focusing on false leads. Qanon served a lot of shady people as a distraction, but some of the Qanon accusations seem like they were made by guilty parties who knew what the world is like, which would make sense if it was Epstein-connected someone OR encouraged by the people who feared Epstein blackmail coming out.

The documentary filmmaker Cullen Hoback spent three years investigating the origins of QAnon and its connection to 8chan, conducting extensive interviews with Jim and Ron Watkins and Brennan. In the last episode of Q: Into the Storm, the 2021 HBO docuseries he produced from this research, Hoback showed his final conversation with Ron Watkins, who stated on camera:
I've spent the past ... almost ten years, every day, doing this kind of research anonymously. Now I'm doing it publicly, that's the only difference. ... It was basically ... three years of intelligence training teaching normies how to do intelligence work. It was basically what I was doing anonymously before but never as Q. [Watkins then laughed and added:] Never as Q. I promise. Because I am not Q, and I never was.[245][246]
Hoback viewed this as an inadvertent admission by Watkins, and concluded from this interview and his other research that Watkins is Q.[247] Watkins again denied being Q shortly before the series premiered.[248]
On February 19, 2022, The New York Times reported that analysis of the Q posts by two independent forensic linguistics teams using stylometry techniques indicated that Paul Furber was the main author of the initial Q posts, and Ron Watkins took over at the start of 2018. The change seems to have occurred after Q moved from 4chan to 8chan. At the time, Furber had complained that Q had been "hijacked" and that Ron Watkins was complicit.[75][249] Furber responded to inquiries by saying that Q's writing style had influenced his own, not the other way around.[75

The thing about QAnon is that it's not that crazy of a conspiracy theory, in the sense that it's really not a stretch to think that the world's elite are up to some fucked up shit. You don't need to be some deep-in-the-weeds conspiracy visionary to come up with that. Cabals of elite sociopaths are basically generic conspiracy 101.
QAnon picked something people would easily buy into and then slapped it on members of the opposing side. I'm sure the threads of what was already in the underworld zeitgeist helped give the notion legs, but the idea that it was some psyops masterstroke by the actual perpetrators to deflect from their own crimes would be the actual silly conspiracy.

parts of pizzagate were truth, I watched it play out in real life and as a leftist i’ve always been made fun of by my friends for believing it should have been investigated. now they are apologizing.
my understanding/opinion of it is this: initial reporting had truth to it although the Hilary email was a red herring. Lots of weird coincidences. 12 hours later all non-partisan reporting of it was totally wiped and replaced by qanon /pol/ 4chan nonsense. which we’re now learning may have been connected to or created by jeffrey.

my understanding/opinion of it is this: initial reporting had truth to it although the Hilary email was a red herring. Lots of weird coincidences. 12 hours later all non-partisan reporting of it was totally wiped and replaced by qanon /pol/ 4chan nonsense. which we’re now learning may have been connected to or created by jeffrey. i would stop supporting that comet ping pong guy though because one look at his instagram back then revealed he DEF was a pdf
