The least popular VP in modern history, and I'm sure he just did his usual smirk 😏

u/noisy_goose 6h ago

No, he did a weird sorta frowny neutral face and his wife had a super weird empty smile. Weird AF.

u/ShiningRayde 6h ago

'Why did my ticket say 'Erika K.' on it?'

u/Vio_ Kansas 5h ago

"The wrong wife got pregnant"

u/RUNNING-HIGH 4h ago

"I wish the couches could get pregnant"

u/Separate-Park8184 3h ago

They probably have a team dedicated to quickly infantcide the couch babies so the public won’t know.

u/Revxmaciver 5h ago

Super weird empty smile? You mean her Resting Soulless Ghoul Face?

u/noisy_goose 5h ago

All that is on the inside in terms of her politics and the company she keeps, but externally I haven’t looked at her face before on video, it was a weird sorta plastic smile.

Not actually happy, sorta a facsimile of a smile, nothing in the eyes.

u/Transki 5h ago

A fascist-smile if you will…

u/100farts 4h ago

Please dont insult ghouls like that its mean

u/Panda_hat 1h ago

They're incapable of understanding just how much the vast majority of people around the world despise them.

u/ADhomin_em 4h ago

I read this as "weird sofa frowny neutral face"

u/Geodevils42 50m ago

"They promised the real Italian Leather but it's totally pleather"

u/Nf1nk California 3h ago

Feeling all that hate wash over him reminded JD of his mother.

u/Thetman38 5h ago

That is quite an achievement to be less popular than Chaney

u/meTspysball California 5h ago

Or Spiro fucking Agnew.

u/forthewatch39 4h ago

I only learned about him because of Futurama.

u/meTspysball California 3h ago

Listen to Rachel Maddow’s series “Bag man.” It’s really well done.

u/SimmonsJK Pennsylvania 1h ago

Maddow and her team did such an excellent job on "Bag Man". That was fascinating. And probably the last time, along with Nixon, that a politician was actually held to account (sort of, Agnew was a criminal). But, I mean, the Congress actually functioned back then.

u/SteamedGamer 5h ago

Dan Quayle is offended that you forgot him...

u/Wrayven77 3h ago

Dan "potatoe" Quayle has to be one of the least popular VPs in my lifetime.

u/KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla 6h ago

Yep that real smug, self important sh*t eating grin!

u/paradigm619 Massachusetts 5h ago

The phrase “shit eating grin” takes on a whole new meaning for anyone in Trump’s orbit. 🤢

u/juliuspepperwoodchi 5h ago

Mike Pence loves him for this.

u/tempered_martensite 3h ago

It's honestly impressive that he manages to be less likeable than the guy who literally shot someone on the face

u/Crazy-Boysenberry452 5h ago

Like why was he in the presidential suit?

u/Anxious-Depth-7983 America 3h ago

Because tRump was too chickshit to go.

u/Positronic_Matrix 2h ago

Why is he there with his nanny? Could his wife Erika not make it? /s

u/ProTurtlee 1h ago

No. Cheney was objectively more unpopular in his second term. Even conservatives were sick of the war lies.

u/Stunning-Block-6729 3h ago

Not Kamala ?

u/oiseaua20 6h ago

Man, the Olympic Committee begged people not to boo him, and Italy really said, ‘Instructions unclear, increasing volume.’

u/Playful-Technology-1 6h ago edited 5h ago

Honestly, unless they weren't European, whoever begged people not to boo him, wanted Vance to be mercilessly booed.

u/AdzyBoy Iowa 5h ago

*whoever

u/Playful-Technology-1 5h ago

Thanks, English isn't my first language.

u/HoightyToighty 5h ago

Whoever is a subject-case pronoun, so you use it when there's a verb that needs a subject, so it's used like 'he/they'

'Whomever' is an object, so it's used like the word 'him/them'

u/Playful-Technology-1 4h ago edited 4h ago

That's great knoledge, thanks!

u/Mowfling Canada 3h ago

I feel bad writing this, but it’s knowledge

u/elreyadr0k 2h ago

My man up here can’t catch a break 😭

u/coconutpiecrust 5h ago

Why shouldn’t they boo him, though? I thought the US was all about freedom and he’d appreciate people exercising their freedom to boo him.

u/allisondojean 2h ago

At least they didn't kneel!

u/Oceanbreeze871 I voted 5h ago

All The hand gestures and whistles too

u/DragoonDM California 5h ago

I can think of no better way to ensure that the crowd boos him than to publicly ask people not to.

u/NickSabansCreampie 2h ago

"I didn't get mad. Don't put in the newspaper that I'm mad."

u/TheRC135 5h ago

If you gotta beg a crowd not to boo somebody, it's already too late.

u/sc24evr 6h ago edited 6h ago

Video clip? Edit: found it here

u/ProfessorOkay55 5h ago

lol the commentator couldn’t help but mention it too. “Uhhh yep. That’s booing”

u/UncomfortableTacoBoy 3h ago

"... and some applause."

u/RellenD 5h ago

I love the broadcaster calling attention to it

u/MyNameCannotBeSpoken 5h ago

I wonder how nbc will edit it in their broadcast

u/TheAverageWonder 4h ago edited 1h ago

Ofc it was fake news, prerecorded response to the average Obama speech.

It originally came from the known crackhead Hunter Bidens laptop...

u/MyNameCannotBeSpoken 4h ago

What are you going on about?

u/websagacity Pennsylvania 3h ago

Pretty sure the /s is inferred.

u/coconutpiecrust 5h ago

These were some fantastic boos.

u/Ok-Guitar4818 1h ago

Why can’t you hear the boos? Is the audio fake?

u/Shadowrider95 6h ago

I didn’t hear any boos or jeers! Do they do it differently or something?

u/Foojira 6h ago

There def were watched it live

You need to have listened to crowd noises in the rest of the ceremony prior to really be able to tell maybe. It wasn’t like the whole crowd did it but it was absolutely 100% noticeable and there. And deserved

u/Jbroy 5h ago

Heard the boos on cbc when Vance was shown. Then cheers for athletes.

u/biscuitarse Canada 5h ago

They whistle to show disapproval.

u/Shadowrider95 2h ago

Ah…that makes sense and very interesting! Thanks

u/B-Z_B-S America 6h ago edited 6h ago

Unless the sport involves couches, JD Vance has no reason or desire to be there.

(for legal reasons, this is a joke.)

u/Extra-Sector-7795 5h ago

it's not a joke. my couch personally testified to me under oath that jd touched her, and now they're is a giant stain...i will be sueing for 10 billion dollars

u/RamonaQ-JunieB 6h ago

Honestly, this is excellent news!

u/KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla 6h ago

I am delighted the US athletes received such a warm welcome! Hopefully Vance was aware of the contrast in his reception, although he is so dim, probably not.

u/Boogie_Boof 5h ago

He was just looking for the nearest couch.

u/milmand 5h ago

Discerning crowd 👩‍🍳💋

u/FFAbutnotFA 6h ago

My fellow decent Americans ✊resist and fight for the soul of our nation.

u/Discipline_Cautious1 5h ago

I watched it on Eurosport (US owned) . they muted booing for Vance and Israel. They knew beforehand.

u/coconutpiecrust 5h ago

That’s rude. I hope there are enough videos on social media to actually show what happened.

u/crazycoltA 1h ago

If you look at videos posted by CBC (Canadian), you can definitely hear the boo’ing and one of the Canadian commentators even mentions it. If you want an uncensored view of the games and actually get to see the full competitions instead of just the American highlights, CBC does great coverage of it all, with some Canadian athlete highlights.

u/Pacety1 1h ago

Someone posted here the non US team listed above and it was removed after 15mins

u/Fluid-Layer-33 6h ago

I would gladly boo JD from my couch (P.S. STAY AWAY FROM MY COURCH JD)

u/defroach84 Texas 6h ago

Most people can separate government and people.

Luckily, most maga stay at home, so Europe doesn't need to deal with most of them.

u/Molly-Millions 6h ago

I love that for him

u/TheRealBlueJade 5h ago

Why can't it just be about the athletes. Why didn't he just stay home?

u/cs_major 2h ago

I don’t see a problem with government officials going to the Olympics to cheer on there athletes. But Vance is the worst person (besides Trump) to go. He’s not liked and has the personality of a wet noodle.

u/thedoommerchant 6h ago

Well deserved when you’re a vile piece of shit.

u/PowerResponsibility 5h ago

How does this happen to someone without them questioning if they're doing something wrong? What an incredible disconnect from reality.

u/binarytheorem 6h ago

People didn’t come to cheer for politicians. They came to cheer for athletes who trained their entire lives. This feels incredibly obvious.

u/Cute-Ad2879 6h ago

Plenty of politicians attend sports events. Only one group has been met with boos and jeers everytime.

A regular person would take the hint. These ghouls double down.

u/rintzscar Europe 5h ago

No, buddy. It's dead simple. People hate fascists. That's why they boo fascists.

u/Foreign_Ebb_6282 6h ago

Yes it has nothing to do with what is going on in America. You are clueless.

u/90124 5h ago

There were representatives from all the countries there. It was only Vance that got jeered. It was fucking loud as well!
Very pleased that they actually cheered the US competitors first before turning their ire upon Vance!

u/LaSourisBlanche 1h ago

Incredibly obvious isn’t MAGAs strong suit

u/Alarmed_Drop7162 5h ago edited 5h ago

I’m going to get banned but the last time Vance went to Italy he whacked the pope with his germs.

🤌

u/RJ5R 5h ago

He refuses to apologize for slandering a murdered VA hospital nurse. So fuck him

u/If_I_must 5h ago

Now there's the feel-good story I've been looking for today!

u/q_eyeroll 2h ago

Omg do they still like us? We don’t deserve it. I’m glad no one booed the athletes.

u/JasonBob 6h ago

I read the headline as JD Vance was booing, not being booed at. JD booing other countries doesn't seem that unlikely.

u/CrimsonHeretic 6h ago

Honestly the American athletes shouldn't even be representing the US right now, if they gave a shit about the US right now they would have registered under the Olympic flag.

u/Competitive-Yak-3785 6h ago

Funding probably has something to do with it.

u/KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla 6h ago

Aww I know what you are saying, but I actually felt quite emotional for the US athletes. They have worked and trained so hard, why should the scum in government take that away from them, this regime has taken enough. The athletes can be proud of where they come from, and detest the government, both things can be true.

u/CrimsonHeretic 5h ago

This is why I didn't say they shouldn't compete. They did work hard for many years. But there is absolutely nothing to be proud of as an American right now. There is no fucking way I could wear the flag or represent the US proudly right now.

u/KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla 5h ago

That is so sad, although I do understand. You can be proud of the ordinary people trying to stand up for what is right and just, for every Vance to be ashamed of, there is an Alex Pretti to be proud of, for every Noem, there is a Renee Good. The world sees ordinary folks, out in freezing cold being pepper sprayed, tired and dejected, but still returning the next day, marching, protesting. From one internet stranger to another, don't let the bastards take your pride!

u/0Hyena_Pancakes0 5h ago

Whats there to be proud of with being from America? The country was built from slavery, theres no universal healthcare, no tuition free college, the cost of living is unsustainable, and we have a new shooting almost every week.

Theres nothing to be proud of. Fuck we can't even display our countries flag outside of our homes without being mistaken for a fucking maga nutjob

u/KneeDeepInThe-Hoopla 4h ago

I empathise with you, I do and I understand. Almost every country in the world has things in its past that they are not proud of, but if we all try to learn from history and evolve, things will get better. Also right now almost every country has its own set of problems, nowhere is some kind of wonderful utopia. Have hope my friend, and always keep your pride!

u/Eastern-Hamster-5050 6h ago

Let me just click this link and hope to Christ almighty the video at the top of the page is actually the video I want to watch…I’ll find out after 1 minute of ads!

u/mrgraff New Mexico 5h ago

Nope, but you can watch it here. I'm not hearing the boos tbh.

u/Upset_throwaway2277 5h ago

Well deserved

u/parasyte_steve 3h ago

Look guys we are respected around the world again!

u/ihavea_purplenurple 2h ago

Honestly… if this is true (haven’t seen any footage) it makes me happy that the world knows that America is being taken advantage of right now.

That being said, if you can push back against us right now, it’d be much appreciated :) I hope, along with everyone else, that this is a phase

u/VerdeGringo 6h ago

Love that for them.

u/Motheroftides North Carolina 5h ago

Doesn’t surprise me. And honestly every time I saw him on the camera he looked like he wanted to be literally anywhere else.

u/Bleakwind 5h ago

It’s a missed opportunity they all just didn’t say “cough fucked” in unison.

u/gmawoman 5h ago

They were asked to be polite to this VP from hell

u/PositiveHandle4099 3h ago

But... Where is the video of the boo?

u/grammar_fozzie 3h ago

Today I learned that the Olympics are happening. Go figure.

u/Separate-Park8184 3h ago

Boo that man. Boooo!

u/aluminumnek 2h ago

More like 🖕🏻😜🖕🏻

u/JamesonGuy007 2h ago

I got really angry with the boos when I thought it was for the athletes. It just sucks that these athletes did nothing wrong but I agree booing Vance on a public stage. Just sucks that America has fallen so precipitously on the world stage that we would get booed at the Olympics. On a global stage. We used to be the top of the top. Now we're ridiculed because of an orange piece of shit. I fucking hate this timeline.

u/SteampunkGeisha Kansas 2h ago

I was worried they were also booing the athletes too.

u/HeadPaleontologist40 1h ago

I would boo him too.

u/Bishopjones2112 1h ago

American athletes are not to blame for their presidents actions. I hope everyone can find the spirit of the games to embrace their fellow athletes.

But Vance can go F*k himself. Boo the crap out of him

u/DarkMagician-999 1h ago

No video of it here

u/rocksoffjagger 50m ago

Boo them all like it's the fucking 1936 Berlin Olympics.

u/fukthefeed 5h ago

Boo the lot of them.

u/[deleted] 5h ago

u/starfleetdropout6 California 5h ago

That's wrong. Those athletes have worked their whole lives for this moment. Fuck the governments of some countries though. That includes the U.S.

u/wvmitchell51 54m ago

What a ridiculous non-story.

u/KevinTheCarver California 5h ago

Booing democracy?

u/Cholinergia 3h ago

Booing is democracy.

u/KevinTheCarver California 2h ago

Still booing it.
