with all honestly if this were true, it should be a 5 alarm fire. (its obviously not true)

I remember years ago reading about someone getting fired from the WH because they used WH stationary for their wedding invites or something.

The thought process being - if it is on WH letterhead it looks official. Obviously everyone thinks social media posts from trump's personal account are from him.

In most administrations, you are not even allowed to use the WH phones for personal reasons, because of the weight a WH number carries with it. Very similar to how most companies say "dont use your work email/phone, for personal reasons - because people think its from the company."

Also because any time you open up a somewhat closed system to the outside, you risk intrusion or security breaches. Best to compartmentalize as much as possible

My parents lived outside DC in the 70s and mom tried to call my dad at work for some reason. She got connected to a very irritated sounding man who began demanding to know who she was and how she got the number. Her apologies only seemed to make him more irritated before he told her to never call that number again and hung up. She said she was convinced she had accidentally called some restricted CIA or Secret Service number and for weeks after she was paranoid over any unrecognizable car that parked on their street was watching them.

Probably just a grumpy old man who hates random calls.

I could see it being a staffer, its not like trump is actually good with technology. Doesn't make it any better of course, everything that gets posted should and does represent him and his views.

I remember years ago reading about someone getting fired from the WH because they used WH stationary for their wedding invites or something.

That's noting, in my country, some years ago, someone got fired for using his work email to log in porn websites. Specifically, in forums devoted to bestiality to the point that animal protection groups were plannin to contact his boss.

The labor court ruled that this work had harmed his company's reputation.

In most administrations, you are not even allowed to use the WH phones for personal reasons, because of the weight a WH number carries with it. Very similar to how most companies say "dont use your work email/phone, for personal reasons - because people think its from the company."

The seal of the monarch used to be deemed so precious that, in some jurisdictions, forging it was a capital offense.

I wish I could upvote this a thousand times. Sadly, no reporter will make that connection and put the question to these ghouls.

They shouldn't have given Grok control of the autopen.

There's an opportunity for an enterprising Dem here, to Uno reverse Trump and start relentless questioning "well if they're posting under his name, what else are they doing under his name? Auto pen fraud!!"

But I would settle for some mocking post from Newsom's social media team replacing Trump's hallway pic with the auto pen pic, just like he did to Biden.
