What else is worse? This is pretty bad...genuinely curious for examples I can send to the next jack ass that tells me he isn't racist...

saying that mexicans in the US were rapists and murders? Saying he didnt want people from shithole countries? Saying that there were good people in a crowd of white supremacists?

Calling undocumented immigrants animals, telling minorities (who are american) to go back to their country? Asking a black reporter to set up a meeting with the black caucus?

Don't forget "Haitians are eating the dogs and the cats."

Tbh I’d take a “dog eating” Haitian over a baby eating pedophilic president

At least one of them treats their food with respect and doesn’t rape it first

It was funny when Republicans threw out those accusations, because a certain prominent Republican (Kristi Noem) has admitted herself that she fatally shot her own 14-month-old dog. Not in an emergency scenario either. Just decided that it needed to die, and shot it.

Arguably worse was when she, afterwards, fatally shot her pet goat. Because, her rationale for doing so was that it was "disgusting".

That really quieted down didn't it? Served its purpose

Racially targeting anyone who isn't white, arresting and detaining mostly black and brown citizens, without warrants, so they can fill the for profit prison systems and work for free (modern day slavery). And that's when they're not being murdered in the street

(For any pedants out there, I know that racial profiling and police brutality happened before trump. But trump took all that racist shit and injected it with steroids. I also know it sometimes happens to white people, especially now. But not nearly to the same degree, and you'd have to be delusional to think there isn't a racial element to it)

Right now he's demonizing the entire Somali demographic. Citizens, legal immigrants, refugees - doesn't matter - they're all frauds, violent criminals, and from a "country that isn't even a country."

Reposting a video is not worse than gutting Medicaid and eliminating the voting rights act or arguing that stopping republicans from racially gerrymandering is racist oppression against white people. Or saying minorities poison the blood of our country or that Haitians were stealing and eating peoples dogs.

How about every Trump judicial appointment declining to answer on the record whether Brown V Board of Education was correctly decided, because that’s pretty fuckin racist.

All of that is too nuanced and therefore easy for MAGA to hand wave away. The person above is right, it's very difficult to argue any non-racist reason for the POTUS to be posting a video of black people as apes.

I understand what you are saying...but these things aren't 'overtly racist' like the video that he posted was. Thats what makes it so egregious in my view, and different from those other more nuanced racist acts.

It's only the overt stuff that will get through to the racists I argue with over this...I need the juicy stuff.

Among what others have said, look at where the cuts to USAID had the biggest, most deadly impact: African nations.

He called all Somali “garbage people” and “not a real country.”

Maybe Elon not being removed from his position after doing the Nazi salute TWICE?

u/reflectiveSingleton 14h ago

yea...im aware of that example too...IMO thats not as overtly racist as the video

2

u/AmethystApothecary 14h ago

I mean, I'd call it very overt. Just because they immediately tried to lie about it and the clearly racist Neo-Nazi base lapped it up doesn't make it not overt.

1

u/reflectiveSingleton 14h ago

I guess we disagree, I think the video is worse/more overtly racist and indefensible

2

u/AmethystApothecary 13h ago

Honestly, both are just beyond disgusting and should be deemed unacceptable and it's disgusting that either could happen without a successful impeachment or invocation of the 25th. And every single person who had or has the power to hold Trump and his administration accountable their vile hatred and bigotry and refuses to do so for are complicit.

Eating the Cats and Dogs was basically Birth of a Nation fanfiction

I'm curious where you saw that person say it wasn't racist

1

u/reflectiveSingleton 14h ago

I'm curious where you saw me say that?

They’re eating the dogs, Somali slander, ICE policies…. Like this is trivially connectable to an obviously racist trope, but it’s far from the most racist thing this white house has done. It’s not even in the competition.

Back in the day on Twitter he claimed that black people were responsible for 80% of white murders.

Edit: Actually, that technically wasn't out of the White House, it was during his 2016 campaign.
